The irreverent Mischief documentary series returns with a look at the dark side of British food making.
Geeky northern anarchist Alex Riley goes in search of the most disgusting thing he's ever eaten.
But finds this isn't quite as straighforward as he thought. Apparently food manufacturers are very good at transforming crap ingredients into something that looks and even tastes like food.
Not one to back down, Alex carries on banging on doors in his quest to get answers. After sampling plenty of dodgy sausages, Alex tries his hand at making his very own monster food.
Turning his attention to piemaking, his brief is to create something cheap yet edible that adheres to food safety regulations.
It proves surprisingly easy in the end. All it takes is the right amount of E numbers, a stomach-churning mix of animal parts and something called "sweet fat."
Mmm, sounds tasty.
