[‘new species’ is certainly a hook but excuse the pandering to an audience far gone on fluoride and aspartame and a TV trend in the US to drag out micro-moments of information, filling 60 minutes of advertising space. Martin Arnold’s experimental films and his optical printer techniques - slow downs, reverses, repeats, loops and re-cuts - have become commercial mainstream television. Apologies for the rant, an attempt to watch this was maddening...one could just skip to part 5, the last 3 minutes...]
