u're probably lacking the necessary codecs, if u haven't got them- Kazza-lite codec pack

edit - WMP sucks, the ripped off WMP classic is much better

So you can't get zshare to play with your WMP browser plugin?
I would try upgrading to WMP11

Can you post a link to one of the media files that doesn't work? It's always easier to diagnose when looking at an actual link.
Have you looked at your settings in IE, Tools/Manage add-ons/Enable or Disable add-ons ... dropdown menus?

Take a look at WMP settings to see if the file types are properly associated to play from the web. File\Tools\Options\File Types Tab.

Windows Video File (avi) should have a checkbox next to it to determine that avi files are associated with WMP.

Incidentally, avi & divx are nearly identical, whereby divx will not hava a separate association.

However, another thing to consider is this. Is WMP used for any other online web viewing from embedded files? If not, consider this post from greeniz to use divx web player like many other people do with ZShare. Good luck & let us know how it goes.

Zshare uses wmv, which is why WMP browser plugin is used smile.gif

Ahhh, thanks again greeniz for the marvelous addition. In that case, perhaps one could associate wmv files accordingly.

If you find that your file association is correct, it is sometimes necessary to first "de-select" the correct file association, click "apply", the "re-select" the correct file association, click apply, then OK for the file association to actually work. I've often had to use the procedure to remedy videos that would not play, even though the file association "appeared" correct.
