the 403 only started with the new script,its fine i usually copy the direct link and then go to your generator and paste so im happy...and if this method doesn't prove useful members should be made aware the wait is only 25 seconds if you sign up for a free account...

Hopefully the 403 error message can be dealt with, but as you say having the other option is great for anybody running into problems. Not sure what all mrbrownee changed, but now I'm no longer having the buffering 0% problem in FF. Don't know if it has anything to do with having to click play now or what, but it's working great with the few I've tested. Going to do some more testing.

ye the 0%(bane of my existence) seems to be gone and hopefully will remain like that...I am still very happy with any way to watch MU..

Just out of curiosity, for the last hour or so I've been trying to watch beetlejuice via this link http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php?showtopic=121862 and am constantly receiving errors that say www.mbrownee70.com can't be resolved. I'm just wondering if this is a local issue on my end, or if the legendary mrbrownee is suffering from some downtime?


Just did a little testing and even movies that worked as of a couple hours ago are now also returning the same "unable to resolve" errors...gonna poke around with proxies and see if there's an issue somewhere along the connection route...but this might need to be looked into.

All seems to be working fine for me have you tried the IE tab for Firefox and the old script did you try the stagevu link

Actually, it seems to be back up and working fine now...must've been a DNS problem on one end or the other...Keep up the work boys and girls, your work is appreciated.

Upload speeds are great and the buffering is good but I just uploaded 2 vids and they were striped of there sub-titles. They don't have a forum or support so I cant ask about it.

I have not uploaded there but I know if you upload a vid to stagevu that has internal subs or soft coded subs they will usually get removed when stagevu encodes the vid

So what is up with Filebase? I have some uploaded movies I want to post but don't see a generator for it. I had about 3 failed uploads... is this common with everybody else?

their profits really shot up when they first introduced "Stage6" and the possibilities of avi/divx. with the fall of "Stage6" everyone went in different directions, and not really giving the divx software major needed updates pretty much is killing them softly. with the right codecs on your PC, the new divx7 software really is not a software update at all!

Looks like DuckLoad (YouLoad) has removed the DivX player (I hope it's just temporary)......does the universal generator work for anybody? If so....where are you right clicking to get the download link?

No, they won't work with the universal generator since you can't right-click to copy the link. Youload is supposed to do streaming on their site, but for some reason some files only have a download option... not really sure why.

Anybody having problems uploading to Megaupload? I have tried twice now and within a matter of minutes it says complete but when I check the link to see if it plays it does not... just sits there and doesn't load.

I haven't been able to upload anything via the website in along time. The megauploader tool thing is what I use and it always works fine.

Youload provides 2 different links for uploads, one is a Download (www.youload.to/download/...) link and the other is a Streaming (www.youload.to/divx/...) link. If you come across Youload download links and want to post it on QSS, please review my comments here http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php?showtopic=132406 which explain how to convert the download link to a streaming link.
Download only links are against the rules and thus they're not allowed.

@ theVril, i just tried to upload a 26 mb file and the first error i got was "upload failed" the second error i got was "upload limit reached"

I am getting the script error use alternate method message when trying to play some megaupload links in the generator , I tried a few recent links In the divx 2008/2009, Scifi/action sections - but I am happy to report that the alternate method still works.

Never mind, generator working like it should now

megaupload is using a connection limit! whenever the connection limit is reached, it does not allow the script to parse the codes, so the "script error" message is just a code i wrote into the script to kill two birds with one stone instead of using an entire page, i just revert the original link into the code so that the alt method can be used without the need of opening a new page.

so the script error just means that the current megaupload limit has been reached and the alt method still lets us view the video.

whatever the the Divx Forum topic thing is it seems to have been hacked and is rapidly filling with SPAM and not the good kind like you want...

They've been removed, but anytime you see spam being posted please use the report button so they can be dealt with as quickly as possible

Ok i havent looked around much for posts regarding this and i'm not sure where else to post it so i'm sorry if it's in the wrong place, Any movie with a DIRECT link the divx player is not loading at all for me (not sure if others are having that problem).
The other thing is with Megaupload, I know you have a script for it but you dont have to wait the 45 seconds (only 45 seconds i know but it's still annoying for some i suppose ), after you enter the word verification crap the link is there (in the page source) so possibly edit the script to parse the link on the megaupload page and automatically fill out the link to generate ?, Just an idea and i'm not sure if you have already tried that.

megaupload...... my script only counts down to 5 seconds since tuesday, due to massive amounts of hits, the script does not always work, and thats what the alternate method is for. the alternate method is also for those who live in the UK and other megaupload server regions that can only view the video using the alternate method.

Is stagevu working or is it just me? :S

...works fine for me,but stagevu does have the tendancy to be down from time to time...
