I met Warrior once in 1996 at the WWE'S ( was WWF then ) " In Your House, Good Friends, Better Enemies". He had a very quick match with Goldust on the card. We talked a little before the show and till this day I still don't know what he said to us. He was more into himself then he was his fans and acted like a fool. He's his own 1 man show, trust me. If he came back to the big time Schizo, it wouldn't take long for your generation to agree with mine at all. It would only be a matter of time before some form of controversy would happen. Nightingales is right about HHH, he would most likely block a WWE return of Warrior, he feels he's the most unprofessional person he's ever worked with....and that says a lot.

You met Warrior? Sorry to hear that, I hope you've recovered. But with a main event like HBK vs Big Daddy Cool, Diesel, i'm sure you enjoyed it. And just for the record the Warrior/Goldust match WAS featured on the PPV, so i'm affraid we all had to endure that one.

so im guessin he was just about to be fired then?

Yea, he was gone shortly after that if I remember right. And yea, that was a cool match with HBK and Diesel. It was also cool to see an up and coming HHH now that I look back on it.

Indeed that was utter crap, bill was funny, couldnt save it though

As far as the actual KOTR it was great , so glad that regal won it. It may have been the crap vids i watched on youtube but... where was the coronation ceremony and speech and such? It seemed to be just completely pushed aside for the main event 4 vs 4 which was nothing much. I hope its me missing a vid though

SPOILER I hope that this has a storyline to it, that the whole King Regal has an actual point and wasnt just done as a hometown, thank you thing

Agreed! Vince likes big guys on his roster and that can be a downfall at times. I much prefer the high flyers and such.

Oh I agree totally. Much better skills, more exciting, and better wrestlers. And a lot of them ignored somewhat. London and Kendrick can put on amazing matches when they get a chance, Jeff Hardy is good, even Cody Rhodes has good talent for technicality sometimes.
And that's speaking as someone who does MMA sometimes, when I can. I've got my own views on who I like and don't now. And I found out, some of those moves work great for surprising people.
Thumper
Wow...! Man, I got to say that again......Wow! I couldn't believe my eyes! I couldn't believeRegalwon the KOTR! The coronation ceremony and speech will most likely come later on DrCowley as that has been the formula for the last few they have had. It usually sets something else up to happen on another show. My question is this, Is this going to affect his status as GM of Raw now? Is he going to step down as GM and wrestle more now or what?

As for the Hillary, McCain and Obama skit.....Rosie and Trump all over again! I did laugh when Umaga came out to clean house though, couldn't help it. laugh.gif Would love to see that happen in real life! It was cool to see each of them care enough to do a video package for RAW. Did you guys notice that they all imitated The Rock one way or another? I agree DrCowley, Bill was funny.....but it fell short.....at least until Umaga came out and beat them up and cleared the ring

Man, I couldn't have been more wrong about my pick to win though ( Mr. Kennedy ). I thought he was advertised for last night? Thats why I picked him to begin with. Wonder what happened? ohmy.gif
Thumper
This caught my interest......a piece I found on the web,
===================================
Tomko has major heat. Tomko & AJ Styles lost their tag title belts as punishment for Tomko working a show all the way in Osaka, Japan the day before Lockdown. TNA officials asked him not to work the Japan show the day before the pay-per-view, but he did anyway, so as punishment they took the belts away. Tomko & Styles were scheduled to work a program with LAX, but that appears to be off the cards.

=====================================

I thought TNA allowed outside booking for their wrestlers? As long as it's not WWE that is. Why would they be mad over this? Maybe they thought he was going to injure himself or something?

MSNBC named JBL as their “Worst Person Of The Week” yesterday, citing his work with FOX News and his new energy drink. laugh.gif laugh.gif Thats funny. If you have ever tried his drink....it taste nasty as hell. Now he's trying to market it as a sex drink. laugh.gif I thought it was suppose to be a pure energy drink? JBL refutes NYU professor's Mamajuana claim credit wwe.com
By: Brandon Campbell
Written: April 21, 2008
JBL responds to a recent claim of an NYU professor about Layfield's energy product, Mamajuana.

In a New York Times article published April 21, Dr. Andrew McCullogh, director of sexual health and male infertility at New York University, was quoted as saying that Layfield Energy’s Mamajuana Energy Drink is “marketing hocus pocus" . John “Bradshaw” Layfield issued an exclusive response to WWE.com regarding Dr. McCullough’s comments about his best-selling energy drink.

QUOTE
“Dr. Andrew McCullough mentioned that it was “marketing hocus pocus.” What he’s talking about is the original ‘mamajuana,’ which we have nothing to do with … nothing what-so-ever. To me, it was pretty irresponsible for a guy who’s supposed to be a doctor saying something so bogus without knowing what it is.”

“If someone wants the veracity of this, try it. Try to make up your own mind. We have had 100 percent of people who’ve tried it say how great this product is. This doctor doesn’t even look at it. All he does is stick up for his pharmaceuticals. That’s one of my issues with the pharmaceutical industry — they believe pharmacy is a panacea for absolutely everything. They give drugs for everything. We never claimed to be a drug. We never claimed to cure a disease. We never claimed to cure erectile dysfunction.”

“That’s not what Mamajuana is for. This is simply the hottest new product that Layfield Energy has out. It’s to raise your libido, give you a great sex life and that’s all it is for. It’s not meant to put a man on the moon. This doctor claiming this is about as irresponsible as you can claim. I hope he does better research for his institution than what he did before the interview for this article.”

i bet it tastes like crap! i don't think i'd really wanna taste a drink by JBL .. i dunno i just don't want to... mellow.gif

as for raw it was alright . i knew that the skit was gonna be another rosie/trump thing all over again! pretty obvious...
3 hours ? and about half of that was wrestling. thanks .. dry.gif
man i like promos and funny shit and all but a little word of advice to anyone in WWE reading this ( if anyone ) - please utilise your roster ! theres a reason why you have like 70 wrestlers ( oops sports entertainers tongue.gif lol ) on the whole roster ! so you can use them!!! duh! for instance, there were NONE high flying moves last night ! if u have guys ( as JR says it ) like a new young Midnight Express ie. London & Kendrick , please give them a match!!

main event was brilliant ! um.. yeah regal.. hmm .. lets see where they go with that one... huh.gif
nightingales
ok, lets see what i can rant and talk about biggrin.gif......................

as far as msnbc goes about the layfield thing, its msnbc. of course theyre gonna do whatever they can to trash another news netowrk. sure, FOX does it too (particularly bill o'reilly), but he at least tries to give more explanation as to why he thinks the way he does.. but meh, id rather not get into that...

as for the KOTR, like i said, i was blown away by the winner, but it does get me to wondering one thing. wrestlinginc reported very early last week that the winner would most likely start playing the role the way booker t did when he won there. it could very well boost reagals character into a much more heel GM, which could be good for the show. after all, lets face it, hes been a tweener GM for so long.

thumper, i dunno what to tell you man about kennedy. the ONLY thing i can come up with is that he may actually have a bigger part in that movie than we think. they may have still been filming at the time of the last PPV, and maybe got just enough time off to work it, and then go BACK to filming. im really hoping so, b/c to tell you the truth, im kind of excited about the film.
Thumper
I still need to see the second one sad.gif . I know they probably don't have anything to do with 1 another but I want to see part 2 1st. I think I'll set some time away this week to check it out. I can't watch movies out of sequel, it's just not me.

It has been confirmed that head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes has been suspended for 60 days. More details on this story should be coming out tomorrow.

What's this Freebird flying on? 60 days....doesn't that constitute strike 2 on the wellness policy? I wouldn't think he would be using performance enhancing drugs, do you. Maybe something more leisure wise I'm thinking......but I don't know.
nightingales
wow, even the writers now blink.gif

yeah, that would be strike 2. but im with you, i cant imagine what hed be on. could be alcohol or something, after all, thats the concensus on why hardy was KO'd the 2nd time. definitely worth keeping a minor eye on...

im the same way with films too, generally. i BELIEVE that they dont directly have anything to do with each other, but i cant be 100% on that. its been quite awhile since i had seen the other 2. but anyway, im thinkin more and more thats why kennedy wasnt at RAW

THIS PAINS ME!!!! If I had his credentials, I'd apply for his job cause I can guarantee that I could call ECW and do a much better job then him! What a goof! I found this today.

HEADLINES : "Fire Mike Adamle" Signs Confiscated, Adamle Not on Cue.

- Before the ECW taping in Greensboro, N.C. tonight, security confiscated at least three "Fire Mike Adamle" signs.

- After the ECW taping concluded, Adamle remained seated at the announcers desk for several minutes. He appeared to have no idea that he was supposed to leave the ringside area. Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman came out by the time Adamle got up to head backstage. He was so late leaving that Edge's entrance music was playing for his appearance on Smackdown while Adamle was still walking to the backstage area.
===========================================================

I just read the other day that he drank a bunch of wine before the show last week as well and people were complaining about him then also. He totally comes across to me that he isn't to keen on the product as if he doesn't have a clue whats going on.
Thumper
Heres an update I found on Michael Hayes getting the 60 day suspension. Looks like it wasn't a substance problem at all, unless you consider getting drunk and being mouthy I guess.
=======================================================
HEADLINES : WWE Creative Writer Suspended for Using the 'N Word' to a Superstar
========================================================

- WWE SmackDown writer Michael Hayes is currently serving a 60-day suspension for using a racial slur during WrestleMania 24 weekend. Hayes was at a public gathering and used a derogatory term while speaking with Mark Henry, who took offense and reported the issue to either Vince McMahon or Stephanie McMahon.

Hayes and MVP had been using the word while joking around together earlier in the night. It was a party setting and Hayes had been drinking when he approached Henry. A pair of sources confirmed that Hayes told Henry, "I'm more of a n----- that you are." One of the sources claims that it was a play on something MVP jokingly said about Hayes earlier in the night because of the white suit that he wore to the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. Hayes then headbutted Henry in what one source described as a playful manner. Henry and Hayes exchanged words, and the former reported the issue to WWE officials.

Hayes, who normally goes on vacation the week after WrestleMania, was eventually informed of his suspension. Sources are unaware whether the suspension kicked in before or after his vacation was scheduled to begin. Either way, he has not appeared at any WWE functions since WrestleMania weekend.

Although a well-placed source reports that he believes Hayes was joking, multiple sources say he has a history of using the word and has been warned by Stephanie McMahon in the past. "On the surface they did the right thing, but this has been going on a long time," one source said. However, the same source said that while Hayes has flippantly used the slur during creative sessions, he has never known him to use his power to bury a minority wrestler.
==========================================================

What a world. We live in a world where it's ok for a black to call another black the n-word but not ok for a white to do so.......at least where I live. Why is this so? Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist or anything like that...but this just confuses me to no end. I feel if it's wrong for us then it should be wrong for them as well. You should be able to press charges on them for berating their own kind....I bet people would look at that differently then. Just my 2 cents and not meant to piss anyone off.

ECW SPOILER

I wanted to see Taker come out and help Kane at the end of ECW!!! Was cool to see Kofi take out the gold standard, Shelton. He deserved it after the remark he gave Kofi. Jimmy is on a roll, I'm thinking we will see the tag belts change soon. They keep teasing it with these two teams.

Backstage News On Mike Adamle & His Powerful Ally That Got Him On TV
04/23/2008 by Tim Brown

Although early reports indicated that Mike Adamle was a pet project for WWE executive producer Kevin Dunn, it was actually Vince McMahon who made the decision to rush him on the air. It turns out that Adamle is friends with NBC executive Dick Ebersol, who is an old friend of Vince.

Adamle and Tazz did very little prep work for their first appearance together last week, even though they had enough time to do so. Adamle’s commentary was actually worse than what was shown on television, as he worked with the production team to make some edits after the show. They didn’t do all the work they wanted to on his commentary since they ran out of time before the broadcast.

He is as much of a laughing stock within the company as he is with viewers right now, but the fact that he’s Vince’s project and is friends with an NBC exec likely means he’ll be around for a while.

i guess i was right about hayes pretty much, it was alcohol.

as for adamle, god, this guy is a retard. anyone with half a brain or older than 10 can see that he sucks. i think hes some kind of sports anchor somewhere, and i THINK it may even be an nbc affiliate, which would explain THAT aspect of things......

and just in case maybe you guys didnt remember, or never watched it before, adamle was one of the commentators of the original "american gladiators". which can be seen on espn classic for those who get the channel....

other than that, only thing im doin right now is tuning in to NWA every week, waitin to see when the big man, Sid, makes his debut. i could have sworn it was going to be any time now, but hasnt happened quite yet. for those who havent checked them out, their tv production is somewhat low budget, but its some nice decent action without all the bullshit of today. no extravagant stories and all that, and even has quite a few names were all familiar with that are wrestling with them now, such as psychosis, rob conway, and occasionally awesome kong, among others....even just saw nick bockwinkle just now.....hopefully you guys can maybe check them out, its at least worth a look. i dont know about other cable/satellite providers, but if you receive the ColoursTV station, thats where its at. for DishNetwork, that be on 9407, every wednesday at either 7pm CST, OR at 1am CST.

Current TNA Superstar Getting His Own Children's TV Show

- A casting call has been issued for a live action children's television series entitled "Shark Boy The Series" featuring TNA's Shark Boy (a/k/a Dean Roll). The auditions are taking place May 3 in New York, and scenes are scheduled to be shot May 14-16.

The casting call notes that producers are looking for contortionists, clowns, fire breathers, a strong man, a bearded lady, jugglers, snake charmers, etc. They are also looking for martial artists, pro wrestlers, and stunt performers. While the casting call mentions that Shark Boy appears on Spike TV each week, no word yet on whether or not the show will air on Spike. This is probably just a pilot that they're filming.

Seen this and it made me chuckle a bit, and scratch my head at the same time. Whats next? The Super Dave show? ( I guess they already had a Super Dave show at 1 time....about a stunt man if I remember right ). How about Dudleyville, that could have some potential to it. Two half brothers that live in the backwoods and help solve peoples problems....kind of like the A-Team with a smaller crew. laugh.gif

Rob Van Dam officially announced on his website's blog that he is in the process of creating an online show entitled RVD-TV. On this show, he will give his fans a glimpse at what his life is like outside of the wrestling business. A preview for this upcoming series can now be found on the homepage of his website. Some of RVD's friends will appear on the show, such as Samoa Joe, Chris Masters and Sabu. The show will be filmed at his home in California, where he has been spending most of his time since temporarily retiring. Rob is expected to announce some of his other future projects through the show, such as his upcoming DVD on stretching.

He's talked of an in ring return in the spring of 2008 sometime shortly. He has entertained the idea of TNA but considers WWE the big time and can make more money there. Other then that, Im not sure.

RVD ANNOUNCES THAT HIS WIFE HAS CANCER
- Former WWE and ECW Heavyweight champion Rob Van Dam posted on his blog
that his wife Sonya has been diagnosed with colon cancer after many months
of suffering from stomach cramps. "Obviously this was not something we

Pure escapism I guess. My Gran used to take me to the local hall to see Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks perform,I also got to see Dave'Fit'Finlay..and that was 30 years ago...I think the athleticism of the wrestlers is amazing, and its a spectacle more than anything.I have two teenage sons and I take them to local live events when I can in England, they love it and it's a great night out.I must say I hardly ever get bored watching.

Mike Adamle better watch out, I could easily see him swapped out with Coach and Foley doing Smackdown. Just get rid of Adamle all together. I'm sure the company can find something else for him to do. Hell even Lord Alfred Hayes could announce better then him back in the day....and I couldn't stand Lord Alfred Hayes. tongue.gif

TNA impact/ possible spoilers

Looking forward to the all out fight that you know will happen between Angle and AJ. I'm looking forward to the 3 way match that was set up for Sacrifice now. I'm sure Samoa will win ( I'm betting they give him a good run with the belt ) but I'd like to see Scott Steiner hold the heavyweight title as well. I wonder which knockout will get her head shaved?

Smackdown/ possible spoilers

Natalya Neidhart using the sharp shooter was really cool I thought. Keep the move famouse in the family, thats what I say. tongue.gif I'm saying Hardy takes MVP down this Sunday at Backlash. Hbk with the super kick was a great way to end main event between Taker and Batista. It built towards their match at Backlash and made Batista look good in the process against Taker since they have this never ending life long feud going on. Got to keep them somewhat even for the future now so when they fight down the road again...it will seem more epic in some way. tongue.gif Boy Edge sure was lucky he fell out of the ring when he did. I smell a title change for the Smackdown tag titles coming soon, or should I say to co-ECW/Smackdown tag titles.....thats what it seems.

Grew up with it. I've watched since I was a kid. Started watching when I was learning how to walk, no kidding. My Dad and Grandfather were heavily into it. When I was a kid, my Dad would pull the TV stand around to the table so we could watch Georgia Championship Wrestling every night during dinner. I started training to become a wrestler in high school threw a wrestling connection that my family lived near by. This person ( who works in the WWE now...but I can't say who out of respect ) got me in touch with one of his friends in the biz that ( used to ) train people to become wrestlers. He's now retired to I think. Anyway, one really bad car wreck later and now I'm stuck to just being what I started out as...a fan. Wrestling you could say is my hobby...in any form. I've got all mainstream wrestling from the last 15 years or so on tape in a library that I keep.....hobby. I've got earlier stuff, but everything starting 15 years ago for sure. I've got every single WWE magazine thats come out.....ever. This includes sub issues and such, Autographs and all kinds of other shit.....trading cards from way back to present....you name it. I would consider myself a super fan and proud of it. The action and being able to tell a story in that form is what got me hooked as a kid and still keeps me watching to this day.

Nice idea Schizo cool.gif ....or TheSchiz.

im kind of in the same boat as thumper, just grew up on it. i think it was around 4 or so when i started watching, something like that. the earliest real thing i remember from back then was snuka divin off the cage on don morocco. i remember my mom tapin stuff back then, and id get up at 5 or 6 am just to watch it b/c i couldnt wait. of course, back then it was always just me wantin the good to win all the time. how else are kids supposed to watch it anyway, right?

over the years ive come to find out a lot of my family has been in the business as well, all the way back into the 40s. i dont really know too much though, only that they used all the same monikers that have been and are still used all over today, like nature boy, pretty boy, playboy, etc...

now, honestly it wasnt until a few years ago that i actually started watching and CARING how the real action was portrayed. did so and so put on a good match? was it believable? you know, all that jazz. and by then i started looking at other guys (and divas too believe it or not), and seeing if they were someone who i could grow to like and respect as a performer. it wasnt until all this started that i actually cared about who these stars were as men (or women), and seeing how they perform their craft, and just trying to be the best they can be,.......all just to entertain the fans like all of us here. if they send us home happy after an event, or make us smile or drop our jaws after an hour or 2 on tv a few times a week, then they know theyve done their job well.

ever since i started thinking that way, ive come to enjoy a lot of different guys, and discover some newer talent that will be worth watching over time, for years to come. ive come to start liking guys like yang and moore, pretty much the whole x-division in tna, and right now im starting to keep an eye on cody rhodes. this guy has GREAT basic wrestling skills, and thats kid of what im liking to watch right now. no over the top antics, no flashy flip pildrivers, anything. just simple, pure, basic, wrestling. give the guy some more time, and lets just see where this guy ends up.....

well, anyway, i could go on and on and on for quite awhile. thats just the tip of the iceberg, but at least should give you somehwat of an idea of how ive grown from just a kid who wants the good guys to win all the time..........to someone, who, at the end of the night,.....truly doesnt CARE who wins as long as
ive turned the tv off or walked out that front door to the arena, with a smile on my face.

no kidding. and every time im remembering sid, im thinkin of hugh morrus. i just loved the way he would start almost screaming during a promo, with that hand in front of his face, and then hed start laughing real hard, and instantly turn to a serious face biggrin.gif

meh, i really dont know that id like foley being an announcer, but good GOD anything is better. i can at least put up with coach a little, but get that moron adamle out of there, period.

TNA:
i think we ALL know that fight is comin. but you know, i think id rather see the title on steiner altogether. as for the knockouts, ehhhh,....ima go out on a limb and say roxy.

Smackdown!:
yeah, seein' the SS was cool, you almost get that sense of presence in the ring so to speak. im banking on hardy to take the strap too. mvp has had it too damn long, and who knows. maybe theyre gonna have him drop it so they can build him in some other direction. taker/batista really is becoming one of those upper scale big man feuds. you can always count on an all out brawl at soem point every time, and this is something that can very well last a LONG time. and yep, i smell a tag title change too VERY soon. personally, i think, whether you like the guys or not, that they need to break up miz/morrison and build them again as singles anyway. i dont know about miz, but morrison has damn sure proven he CAN be among the elite. only thing honestly keepin him back i think is his "character".

well, i think i MAY have found sids return match, although its just a fan-cam. if you wanna wait until tv/net, then by all means do. but if you dont, this might,......and i do stress MIGHT, be it here:

Sid's Return

i got say, hes lost a little mass, but damn hes lookin good!
Schizo
man tna was great and so was smackdown!

am liking the neverending feud between tista and taker! also hbk vs batista is gonna be guud biggrin.gif

as for tna , i had a feeling they would make it a three way for the title but i am not happy about it either... does angle always have to be in the title picture? like JB even said it earlier in the night, this could be you last title shot for a long time Kurt .. and guess what ! its not ! because angle has always gotta have it his way. thats why he quit wwe because he didnt get his own way! i may have it wrong there but still it would be way better if it was just steiner / joe at sacrafice .

now , on a different note - anyone care to give their Backlash predictions??

4 titles on the line here ! it hasnt been like that in awhile!

WWE Title : I think Orton will walk away champ again . They wouldn't start saying its the Age of Orton a few weeks back if they werent gonna leave the belt on him for another little while..

WH Title : eh .. this match is too obvious .. Taker walks away arm raised in victory

ECW Title : Its a toss up in this one i think. Chavo losing at WM was just cause he went to tna that week right? So maybe their ready to put the belt back on him.. Like hes got that new bodyguard thing going so i dunno really bout this one.. unsure.gif

US Title : I really hope Matt will win. Hes needed a title run for ages now and the fact that MVP has been wearing the gold for ages too , Its bout time the title got a new face to it.

12 Diva Tag : For some reason i have this feeling that the heels will walk away in victory but thats just me..

Show / Khali : just ugh i dont care .. Show wins

and last but most definitely not least ! - Batista vs HBK : This is gonna be my fav match of the night . With y2j added in as a sort of extra prize , Michaels and Batista have argued back and forth on whether or not HBK made the right decision by ending Flairs career at WM .. is Batista gonna unleash his anger over Flair’s retirement on HBK or will HBK give Batista what he gave Flair at WrestleMania - the fight of his life? And then whats gonna happen if / when Y2J lashes out on either of the two opponents for what they did to him over the past few weeks???!!! man its gonna be cool to see how it unfolds! cool.gif
JonnyRidge
WWE Title : Orton

WH Title : Undertaker

ECW Title : Kane

US Title : Matt Hardy

12 Diva Tag : Mickie James, Maria, Ashley Massaro, Michelle McCool, Cherry, and Kelly Kelly

Show / Khali : Show

Batista vs HBK: Batista
Thumper
Here goes,

Undertaker over Edge

HHH over Cena and Orton....new champ!

Kane wins over Chavo by a DQ on Chavos part

Matt Hardy wins the US Title finally from MVP!

The Heel faction of women will run supreme tonight

Big Show over Khali .... Big K is taking some time off....right?

HBK superkicks Batista and wins the match that is sure to steal the show!

Should be a good show. At least it sounds good anyways. wooooooooo!

Taker - its just too obvious...

HHH- could be, and i do stress, COULD BE, the beginning of the eventual heel turn. keep him face /w the title, then BAM!........

Kane- i think theyll be some interference, but i still think itll be a clean pin in the end, so to speak.....

Matt Hardy- mvp has had his run MORE than long enough. time for hardy to shine once again, and start mvp on a different buildup of some kind

womens match- heels all the way, nothing special here though...

Big Show- i believe youre right thumper. i read that too, something with khali's cop job back home.....

HBK- this one is tough for me, so im just givin my pick, nothing more...

maybe ill do better than WM. only got half that card right biggrin.gif
