I'm really bummed out, just found out that my affiliate isn't carrying Smackdown. Looks like I'll have to get it off the net for awhile and have someone else tape it for me for my collection. Man, this gets old. I've had to change my system now like 5 times over the last 10 years or so just so I can get my wrestling. Schizo, you guys over there don't know how lucky you are...I'm telling ya. I'll be down at my local cable provider seeing what can be done about this situation early tomorrow! Fuck MyNetwork TV!!!!

Lenny Lane, remember him from WCW? He sure looked different. Jake Swagger seems to be coming along nicely so far, lets see what he can do against someone like Hardy or better yet, Henry. Jesus, Mike Knox is getting hairy in the face! He reminds me of some of the wrestlers from the 70's or something. Wonder if he's cousins with Hillbilly Jim or something? Main event was ok. Notice there was no overrun tonight, it ended right on the money tonight

Fringe is a great show. You'd crap if you knew all the stuff I have to record or watch for myself urbangiggles. Everybody in my house is on a different schedule and it gets hectic at times. Thank god for the net!!!

HBO & Former WCW Worker Creating Wrestling Drama

HBO and TV icon Norman Lear will work together to produce a new pro wrestling drama. Former WCW VP of Marketing Aaron Blitzstein is the writer for the show. The series will take place in the 1970s and focus on a family running a pro wrestling business in New York.

"Every day was the greatest day ever and the worst day you could possibly imagine," Blitzstein recalls about his time at WCW. "I've never seen more colorful people than pro wrestlers."

"It was more of mom-and-pop type of feel back then," said Blitzstein about the 1970s. "And it was a little bit more ridiculous and fun.

Went to the cable company and they don't offer it. I put in a request to get it though and started a petition to get the ball rolling. I got people calling them to request it as well. The said they will be doing a channel upgrade soon. I informed them that if they don't add the channel, then they are going to lose a lot of customers or have a bunch of unhappy ones.

its a localized area channel, and im not in that localized area. i live here in amarillo, so im GUESSING its probably a lubbock area affiliate

The Undertaker was noticeably limping in the ring during certain spots in his matches on the overseas tour last week as one of his knees is bothering him. Taker had arthroscopic surgery during his time off and his knee was in worse shape than first thought. Additionally, he’s in the beginning stages of arthritis. Following surgery, the expectation was that he’d be ready to return for his Hell in a Cell match with Edge at SummerSlam. Despite the injury, he’s still being booked on house shows in tag matches and his TV taping dark matches are usually kept short. It’s been noted that he’s often in tremendous pain backstage, but never complains about it and usually doesn’t show it in the ring. When he comes back through the curtain, he’s hurting really bad though.

- Festus suffered a strained calf during last week’s tour of Europe tour, but it is said to not be serious

TNA originally wanted the Suicide character to start doing a run-in or some sort of entrance within the next few weeks but with Frankie Kazarian being out of action for four months, things are obviously changing. No decision was made as of this week but they could put another person in the gimmick or have Kaz debut as him now and limit his physical interaction until he is cleared to wrestle. The original plan was for Suicide to debut in some way like a quick live glimpse at Bound For Glory and then be pushed as a character by the end of October.

- Nobody in TNA still seems to know about coming in, although both Japanese promotions are talking like it will happen. The two may end up coming in to do dark matches or something for Xplosion or maybe some kind of Japanese photo op, but nothing is planned for them as far as angles or storylines go.

- Details on TNA’s new drug testing policy were passed out at the last set of iMPACT tapings in Orlando. We’re hearing that it’s similar to WWE’s. Nobody seems to know yet as to when they will test and how often it will be. A drug test failure in TNA will now get you a 30 day suspension without pay for the first offense and a more severe penalty after that. TNA did one drug test a few months back but the results did not count.

Seen the A J stuff already, good find though. Ya, I've been telling all kinds of people to call the cable company, whether they do it or not is up to them but I hope they do.

I hate to say this....(especially since he's my all time favorite ).....but maybe Taker should take some major time off or call it a career inside the ring.....or only wrestler a few times out of the year or something. I'd rather see him go out on top while he can still walk good. That arthritis is a bitch! I've got a touch in my lower back and it sucks! I'ts only going to get way worse for him I fear.

There will be some more wrestling-related viewing on Thursday night, in addition to the WrestleMania special, the magic show following it featuring Maria & Eve Torres, as well as TNA Impact featuring the Impact Zone debut of Mick Foley. Big Show is scheduled to appear on Attack of the Show on G4 this Thursday night at 7 p.m. The show replays at 1 a.m.

- WWE filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit brought against them by former WWE wrestlers Scott Levy, Mike Sanders and Chris Klucarits seeking to reclassify professional wrestlers contracted by the company as employees. The motion, filed yesterday in the United States District Court of Connecticut, was made on the following grounds:

*Their complaint failed to “state a claim upon which relief can be granted.”

*Their claims were barred by “applicable statues of limitations.”

*Their claims were a “impermissible attempt” to circumvent federal and state tax laws, with WWE claiming “neither [law] grants a private right of action.”

*Their claims are “preempted by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.”

*Levy, Sanders and Klucarits failed to “exhaust administrative remedies.”

*The trio “lack standing” to assess punitive claims on behalf of other class members (WWE contracted performers).

A response by the attorneys representing the former WWE talents is expected by 10/20, although they can request a motion for more time to draft their response.

WWE Superstar Edge stated during an interview with BetweenTheRopes.com that he had asked for time off and that he’s not nursing any major injuries.

“I needed to kind of just get a break and kind of step back from the 120 mile per hour pace and lifestyle for a little bit,” he said. “I actually asked for it. Nobody has to force me to take time off.

“I’m at the point now where I think here and there it’s a good idea… I don’t want to get burned out on it. I don’t want to just call it in. I never want to get to that point, not that I was, but I was getting tired.”

i dont think hed retire that way, but he sure better do something about it.............i mean come on, i know wwe was hurting for stars recently, but you can only go so far to help them out. i know hes the most respected person in the back if not all the company, but now hes being as stubborn as a mule.

Vince McMahon has been talking about how he wants the WWE Superstars to become better actors. The idea is that RAW has to meet the standards of acting ona regular TV program and a lot of the WWE talents aren’t that good acting in the backstage segments. One of the new roles for Freddy Prinze Jr., is to try and teach the guys better acting skills. Freddy also remains a writing assistant on the SmackDown brand, working under Michael Hayes and Christopher DeJosephs

I wouldn't be surprised if they run with a program that See's Big Show take him out for awhile. That's what they should do....that would at least make Show look like a bigger threat then what he has been lately.

He really needs to earn his fierce credibility back in the eyes of the people and that might be a good way to do it.

Brett DiBiase, the 20 year old brother of RAW’s Ted DiBiase Jr., is now training in WWE’s developmental territory at Florida Championship Wrestling. Brett started training only a short time ago and it looks like he’s picking things up quickly.

- At the RAW in Minneapolis this past Monday, WWE officials had security confiscate signs from fans for Ric Flair. Several of the signs were visible at the start of the show but security went up to them after someone backstage had seen them on TV. Two people were kicked out of the arena before RAW even hit the air for signs like “Urine Sample Please,” “Make It Look Real” and “Kick His Ass, Sea Bass.”

Sometimes it's just hard to step down when your considered the locker room leader so to speak.

Taking Ric Flair signs is horrible. That is just really stupid. But as for the idiots with the signs referencing to drug use and stuff, those definitely should have been taken away. What is the sense in buying a ticket to an event just to insult it. If they don't like it, don't go. What losers!

RVD is my second favorite wrestler.....looks like he's got some cool stuff going on. I'm going to try and call but I wont be able to till the second show, I'll be celebrating my 14 year wedding anniversary then and wont be able to cause I'll be at the casino. Sounds like the show will be a hit amongst wrestling fans.

Taking derogatory signs is very stupid. People need to think about the kids when they go to these things. What I hate even more is when they get verbally derogatory at these events. I bet I've been to at least 30 different wrestling shows
and there's always at least one ass clown near ya in the crowd that thinks he's being cool by acting that way.
