This British anthology series, which was produced by England's leading exporters of horror films, told tales of haunted houses, demons, ghosts and other supernatural wonders.
Episode 1: Witching Time
At the isolated Woodstock Farm in rural England, workaholic composer David Winter (Jon Finch) is depressed because he feels that his wife, actress Mary (Prunella Gee), is unfaithful. In a dark and stormy night, Lucinda Jessup (Patricia Quinn), the ghost of a witch from the 17th Century and former dweller of the farm, arrives in the barn and possesses David. Mary fights against Lucinda trying to recover David.
Episode 2: The Thirteenth Reunion
Ruth, the reporter for the womens page of a magazine, is assigned by her editor to participate of a ten weeks course of a new weight organization called "Think Thin". In accordance with the letter of a reader, the system would be very masochist and depressive, destructing the self-esteem of the patient. Ruth makes a friend in the course, and he dies in a car crash. In the funeral, an employee of the funeral house discloses weird events that are happening in his job. In her investigation, Ruth finds dark and macabre secrets.
Episode 3: Rude Awakening
A real estate broker finds himself having dreams that seem to be incredibly real. They are so real, in fact, that he begins to wonder which is the dream and which is reality.
Episode 4: Growing Pains
After the death of their son William Morton (Christopher Reilly), the diplomat Laurie Morton (Barbara Kellerman) and her husband, the scientist Terence Morton (Gary Bond) adopt a boy, James (Matthew Blakstadt). From the moment James moves to Morton's house in the country on, weird things happen with the family.
Episode 5: The House That Bled to Death
William (Nicholas Ball) and Emma Peters (Rachel Davies) buy an old house where a brutal murder happened years ago in very bad condition with the intention of restoring it. They move with their daughter Sophie (Emma RidleY), and become friends of their neighbors Jean (Patricia Maynard) and George Evans (Brian Croucher). However, eerie events happen in the house, inclusive the death of Sophie's cat. In Sophie's birthday party, a pipe leaks blood and they leave the place, disclosing a secret later.
Episode 6: Charlie Boy
After the death of his uncle, Graham (Leigh Lawson) inherits his Arts collection and his beloved wife Sarah (Angela Bruce) decides to keep a weird fetish and gives the name of Charlie Boy. A friend of them explains that it was a voodoo toy. When the other inheritor, Peter, calls of the idea of raising a movie production company, Graham uses a picture with five persons, including Sarah and himself, to wish Peter died. When the persons in the picture die, Graham tries to find a way to save Sarah and him.
Episode 7: The Silent Scream
When Chuck Spillers (Brian Cox) is released from prison, he tells his wife Annie (Elaine Donnelly) that he had been visited by an old man, Martin Blueck (Peter Cushing), along his sentence for robbing a safe, and Blueck had given some money for him to help a fresh start in life. On the next morning, Chuck pays a visit to Blueck in his pet shop to thank the support and is invited to work for him feeding his animals in his private zoo while he is traveling. Blueck explains that he trains animals, conditioning then to obey some signals. A couple of days later, Chuck sees a safe in the store, and decide to open it, being trapped in a weird situation and disclosing the truth about the sadistic Blueck
Episode 8: Children of the Full Moon
A married couple, lost in the woods, stumble across a creepy mansion and its inhabitants - an overly-kind old women and deadly wolf children that scour the country-side looking for victims
Episode 9: Carpathian Eagle
Murder victims are being found with the hearts cut out. A police detective is assigned to find and stop the killer.
Episode 10: Guardian of the Abyss
A scrying glass puts an antiques exporter in the path of a woman fleeing from devil worshipers and the evil hypnotist who leads them.
Episode 11: Visitor from the Grave
A former mental patient kills her would-be rapist, but his corpse returns from its secret grave.
Episode 12: The Two Faces of Evil
The Lewis family, Martin and Janet and their son David, are driving off on holiday. As they go through a severe rain-storm, they almost fail to see a man in the road, missing him by inches. Martin stops and offers the sober-looking stranger a lift. Back on the road, the stranger suddenly attacks Martin, causing a terrible crash. Janet and David wake up in hospital and find that Martin has also survived, but terribly scarred and changed. As time goes by, Janet starts to wonder whether the man who is now her husband is Martin at all. Could it be the stranger?
Episode 13:The Mark of Satan
Edwyn Rord is a hospital orderly, and one day he pricks himself with a needle while working on a body. Somehow, this leads the Devil to choose young Edwyn as his next disciple - or is it all in Edwyn's mind?Then Edwyn kills his mother.
