I reported the duplicate on Impact Point and thought I would leave it up to those who either originally posted their link to report it (because I would have had to check back in the threads each time to find where and when that member posted it and what section and that member would know better than I where it would be) and also because those who vigilantly watch what I post to make sure it isn't a duplicate(and they must look in areas I'm not even aware of because after I check the pinned section, threads, qsssearch and various sections I can't see where it's ever been previously posted) would certainly be able to catch duplicate posts almost immediately on any New Release. But it appears they don't. After reporting the duplicate on Impact Point, 24 hours later the post still is not merged with mine. One might think, OK, the Mods are busy but all other duplicate posts by this member have been removed except Impact Point. It continues to sit in New Releases.
Puzzled. If I post duplicates, after all the searches I do to ensure that I don't, not only is it reported ( and rightly so), there is also, invariably, a post under it by a member (not a Moderator) outlining that it is a duplicate post and to please, from now on, do a search before posting. They have said this and more. Publicly. Why is this never done for this member who continues, with abandon, to post obvious New Releases. No public reprimand. Must be no private reprimand because this member continues to do it. There must be something to it that I'm unaware of because, beside getting the point count up it appears this member does not have to do any searches before posting. None. OK, an occasional duplicate post or two but repeatedly? And some are not removed? I've received public and private reprimands for less.
In the time it takes a member who already posted a movie to have to find when and where they posted it in order to report it, he/she could have posted more movie links. In the time it takes the same member to, again, report the duplicate movie link(because it still wasn't removed), he/she could have posted more movie links. And one would think that the Moderators must be aware that this member is not doing even the simplest of searches. If that's allowed, OK, I can save alot of time if I don't have to do that either.
