I'm glad your posting your opinion, but trying to pass it off as a fact. There is no evidence weed can harm you more if your mentally unstable... But if you think there is evidence please post it.
"....regular use of marijuana is
addictive,
leads to anxiety disorder and depression, dangerously increases heart rate, and can be a major cause of lung diseases and
chronic illnesses."
"...The natural chemical balance of the brain is disrupted affecting the pleasure centers and regulatory systems. The ability to learn"
http://media.www.gcsunade.com/media/storag...a-3542080.shtmlhttp://www.marijuana-addiction.net/marijua...ide-effects.htmNow, none of those are links or quotes to how marijuana affects already mentally unstable people but none of the above mentioned in the quotes bode well with people who are already depressed, bi-polar or whatever.
Fact is that it has not been researched as much as it needs to be as far as aiding mental diseases. They have found that it does help stabilize moods when the user is using but when they are not, depression and addiction creep in even harder then before. And unless the patient plans on using for their entire life (and eventually dying of lung cancer because of the usage) all the time then it cannot be considered a legitimate means to cure or help.
When a person stops using marijuana after a long time of using they also very often go through long bouts of depression and anxiety (up to a year, I went through about 9 months of depression after i stopped 13 years of use) and again, thats not something that bodes well with already unstable minds. So in essence, yes, it would be more damaging to someone in that situation.
The ironic thing here is that most people who continue to use marijuana after their "experimental" years do so in an attempt to control their depression, anxiety or because of their addictive personality. And no matter how you cut it, these things are all better taken care of by proper medical staff with proper medicines without the use of pot. I am not saying that marijuana has no medical benefits nor i am suggesting it be legalized, illegal, or whatever, i am simply saying that it is not the cure all that people make it out to be (i laugh when people tell me it is not addictive) especially when most of the things it helps with have other options that are more effective and have a better track record for patient recovery.
