Hey, im looking for a good anime series to watch. I REALLY like akira (seriously...one of the best movies ive ever seen). I have recently seen steam boy and liked that as well. I watched Vampire Hunter D (the movie) last night and thought it was pretty good to. I really dislike the humor thrown into most anime these days, like in Bleach for example.

o, i also thought Appleseed was pretty good (eh, it was ok).
i just seem to be very picky and im not to familiar with most anime and HATE the comedy they try to throw in. i like the more serious stuff i guess. so out of the things i have said, does anyone recommend anything to me?

almost forgot...i watched most of ergo proxy and LOVED it. one of the few series that i have found truly enjoyable.

Mainly because there arent many animes that dont have the occasional humour thrown into it because thats what anime is all about even mature animes like Gantz and Elfen Lied have the humour which you dont want, some have less humour then others but they all have some form of it. Proberly animes to do more with demons/vampires are best suited to your needs as they tend to not have alot of humour but these series tend to be small.

Im not too sure there is many animes for you because your too picky with it seems like you should stick to normal TV-shows which will still fit your needs but wont have the anime humour you hate.

That would be impossible as the final episode was episode 14 on July 2, 2006. But happy to post the other eps as it is a good series.
