Err...in local disk C:, my ENTIRE WINDOWS file seems to be missing, which i just realized when i was going to try to use the defrag that came with xp, but it said the file was missing. It is not hidden because i enabled the folders to show hidden files, plus i can see OTHER hidden files (semi-transparent)

Please help, as this is probably a huge problem >< asap plz, and
Thanks in advance to all you fellow QSSers smile.gif

To fix the problem try this.
Open command prompt (start, run and type cmd)
and type: attrib -a -h -r -s c:\windows\system32

Not sure what type of hardware you use but some proprietary systems have a restore at boot feature (F11 or similar) , BTW an AV is only as good as its updated signatures... smile.gif Good Luck
