could you tell me how i can get windows blinds to work on windows ME?

WindowBlinds 5 is incompatible with WinME, the latest version that OS can use is 4.6 (source of info: http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/wb5/ - in OS Compatibility section).

if i got 4.6, could i use the themes that came in the package with 5?

I don't know if they're backward compatible - I'd try them out and see if they work, don't s'pose it can do much harm (I hope!).
Might be worth checking the faq/forum at the Stardock site, it's bound to have been mentioned before.

EDIT: Still unsure about the compatibility issue, but you could always create WindowBlinds themes to your liking anyway, and there's plenty of sites to download themes from:

Sorry I can't answer the question, I've only recently started using WB, but there's a lot of themes out there for all recent versions of the program.

any chance of finding the Object X program, that works with windows blinds? I took a look through as many pages as I could but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated!!

i got it working on my pc (v4.3 or 4.6, not 2 sure) and its amazing

As for getting this copy of windows blinds to work with windows ME, I dont belive if it even will install, but if it does the crackpatch will prolly not work, u need to look at there previous versions. you can look at http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/ . If i can find the correct relese number, i may be able to fine it for you. but the skins may not be backward compatible. Most of these skins were created useing features that are now to windows blinds with the 5.0 release.

i used stylexp before but i couldnt find as many themes for it windowsblinds is working great so i'll keep it

uhm on ur last picture what other programs did u use?? in the top right corner u have a calender are u using rainlender? if you are what skin is that
and what is the wallpaper u used called?

Can anyone help? I loaded this on Windows Vista and it's not working. I installed per instructions. Even uninstalled and reinstalled. The first one I double click sets me to a classic windows view and every one after that do absolutely nothing. I do get just a glimpse but it is only for a very minute fraction of a second... More like a glitch.
Any ideas??

all you gotta do is unzip the ones near bottom of list on the file after you download and then its sent to your themes list when you click on properties

when i try to replace the wb.dll file it wont let me, says its being used by another program, when i have none others open, no sign of it in task manager either, any ideas?

Im having exactly the same problem, its not listed in task mgr and says its in use when I try to patch it, please help!

nod brings up a trojan in the exe file.

And I also use nod32 so that may be why 5 wont run for me it just starts and stops (poof!)
But Ive tried ver. 6.02 and ver. 6.4 and thats the vers. Im talking about sry if I wasnt more direct.
Any new links for updated windowblinds would be very much appreciated, or even a tut to explain what Im doing wrong? thanks!
