I was wondering if there are any Kung Fu / Martial Arts movie fans on QSS? If you are a fan who`s your favourite director, actor, actress, and action choreographer?. Do you prefer Shaw Brothers, Golden Harvest, independent etc? It would be nice to know who else shares the love for these movies

Love the Shaw Brothers stuff,fave director would have too be Chang Cheh....only because my fave film is Five Deadly Venoms in fact any of the Venom Mob movies kick ass.

Chang Cheh and the Venoms are bad ass, each of the Venoms have their own unique style and together they make an awesome team. I recently got my hands on a copy 5 elements ninjas in it`s remastered form, man it`s so sick.

Lau Kar Leung is another great Shaw Director, 36th Chamber From Shaolin is one of my all time favourites and 8 Diagram Pole Fighter, not forgetting Challenge Of The Masters and Mad Monkey Kung Fu. He is making a new movie that is in production called Heroes Of Shaolin, the movie will have some of the original Shaw Brothers legends, Gordon Liu, Hsio Hou, Johnny Wang and others, hopefully kara Hui will also be involved. I have also heard that Tony Jah will be playing a bad guy, the last i heard Lau Kar Leung was meeting with him in HK to dicuss the film.

i just watched the legend of the 7 golden vampires.. haha cool... very much oriental 70s show...

i like all the old school king fu flicks

also like shaw brothers, and pretty much and kung fu flick cheesey or not..
also on another note the lone wolf and cub movies are extrememly awesome...i have the enitre series all 6 movies...great movies if your into the genre
