The fundamental point of conspiracy theories is that the manipulate facts, tell half truths, or outright lies.

Even conspiracy theorists often can't agree with each other on the 'facts'. Sometimes a rocket hits the WTC, sometimes there are no passengers on the planes, sometimes flight 93 was shot down, sometimes it landed safely in Cleveland. Even Dylan Avery and his pal agreed that the bowing of the tower proves the towers collapsed due to fire, but that the rest of the tower was controlled demolition, then in the later version of Loose Change, they went back to saying that the tower could not have collapsed at all due to fire.

What's it to be? Conspiracy theorists are tripping over themselves with so much manipulation that is flying around in a contradictory fashion.

I have not read the 10,000 pages of the NIST report, and for some reason, I don't suspect you read a word of it either. But I did see a video of someone from NIST explaining the collapse which is what any respected expert agrees with: The trusses in the towers bowed as was visible from hundreds of pictures the trusses then gave way at the point of bowing and we see dozens of floors above suddenly fall on top of the floors below. NIST says this force was enough for all of the floors below to give way due to the momentum and gravity of the floors above.

Do you have any idea how difficult or even impossible it would be to set up demolition material from top to bottom of the towers with nobody noticing? Do you have any idea how difficult it would be for a plane to crash into the building without immediately detonating the demolition material OR to render them immediately ineffective? Do you have any idea how difficult it would be for the demolition team to start the demolition procedure from the EXACT point the tower was bowing? Do you have any idea how difficult it would be for the explosives to go off at the exact moment the floors above come into contact with the floors at collapse point?

Lets put ourselves in the shoes of the alledged conspirators on 9/11. Why even attempt such an impossible demolition? You would almost certainly be found out when it failed to go as planned. Why isn't it enough for the planes to just crash into the building? The controlled demolition theory doesn't even have a logical motive.

Whatever NIST does and does not say about the collapse, controlled demolition is not in any circumstance a possible theory. The reason no experts in controlled demolition support this theory is because they know simply by looking at the collapse that it was not a controlled demolition. Of all the movies made about the conspiracy theory, I don't think there is one expert of demolition in any of those movies.

And this all comes down to creadility. Let me just show how your credability and the credability of truthers as a whole is once again destroyed:

At this point, the collapse itself was so chaotic that it is IMPOSSIBLE for even the most powerful supercomputers to map exactly the distribution of each column as it fell, exactly what proportion of the concrete was pulverized on each floor, which parts of the building landed where, and so on. No enormous building has ever collapsed like this before. Nor would it be necessary to map the collapse itself to understand WHY they collapsed.

The purpose of the NIST report is for engineers to better understand the events leading to the collapse, to design better buildings in the future. Once a building is in the process of collapsing, providing a map of the column distributions isn't going to help anything or help prevent future failures. But, again, even if someone did want to know the path each column took and so on, it would be impossible to investigate this. What the letter is saying is that their computer models are unable to provide a full explanation of the TOTAL collapse, not the events leading up to and including the beginning of the collapse.

So basically truthers have extracted a single NIST quote, and ignored the context behind it. Just because NIST computers were not strong enough to replicate a random and chaotic collapse does not therefore mean they have no understanding of the collapse. Their models showed that the building collapsed due to fire and plane damage, that is evidence enough that this initial collapse led to global collapse. If NIST investigated and showed that the plane and fire damage could NOT initiate collapse, then maybe you would have a point, but that did not happen.
