type this {-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:"index of" +"last modified" +"parent directory" +description +size +(wma|mp3) "DIGG"} in the search bar and replace DIGG with your favorite band, and you will only find open indexes that contain downloadable music files. This really works.

is another option to remain on the web and get music.

To add to the above versions of using Google to get music...
A period is a connector for words. If you would normally use "index of" in quotes you can instead use index.of with the connecting period. You save 2 characters of space for your search.

I usually just use these 3, but there are way to many variations you may have to use to get closer to what you want.
intitle:index.of "metallica" "one.mp3"
intitle:index.of "Artist name" "song name" mp3
intitle:index.of "Artist name" "song name.mp3"

I love the website "http://hypem.com/" It's really great. you type it in the song/artist and then it comes up with a list of all of the music blogs that have that artist/song. If you click "read full post" in one of the selections it'll take you to the actual blogs and from there, you can usually find the mp3. Let me know if you have any questions! try it out
