17 MINUTE PREVIEW..................

PRISON BREAK PREVIEW PART 1

PRISON BREAK PREVIEW PART 2

ya know, Prison Break was like one of the coolest shows when it came out. it was very original, very smart with the tattoos and all that. very good.

Heres my problem tho. The damn story is about the Michael breaking his Brother out of prison and clearing their name. Ok, the first season was all in the prison, it was very smart with all the clues in the Tatts, and it was overall good. Second season was them on the run, and ofcourse it ended with Lincoln getting his name cleared and all that. Now Michael is in a prison, and the tides are turned??

OK, there are some shows that have potential to last forever, this isnt one of em. How long are they gonna drag this storyline out? Dont get me wrong, the new episode was freakin awesome, but i think the show has totally lost its direction. Have we even seen any of Michaels Tatts in the last 5 or so episodes? will they play any role in future episodes?(i doubt it because none of what is happening now is planned...)

I just dont get it. Fox is clearly making money off this show, and thats understandable, but where is the show going? what could they possibly do for a season 4? ok, heres what should happen this season, based on hints/clues from the premiere. Within a few episodes, Michael will start planning his escape with that Whistler guy. Presumebly there will be some more fights, some more tension between Lechero and Michael, not to mention Bellick and Mahone. T-Bag seems to buddying up with Lechero, so that could mean trouble for Michael and company.

whatever happens, they should be out of Sona by mid season, possibly fleeing the panamanian military or whatever. Then what??

I could just see it now: Michael, Lincoln, maybe Mahone and bellick as well escape the military, find a boat and leave the country, perhaps heading to, um, lets say..... Africa or China. Then something happens, and they go to a new prison. I think there has to be more prisons because the show wouldnt make sense if nobody was breaking out of a prison, lol!

I just dont see an endgame with this show, i have a feeling that we will be strongly disapointed if Fox drags it on...

then take a show like Jericho. That show has no forseeable Endgame. The whole country is a nuclear wasteland, so there will be constant problems even after we get all the answers we seek. On Lost, we thought the show would end when the Lostees get off the island, but with the introduction of Flash Forwards, the story could continue on and on (atleast Lost producers anounced how many episodes were left, which give them some credibility, but i think Prison Break will just run til people lose interest and Fox doesnt make money....)

Another show that could run forever is Heroes, because there is no forseeable endgame...

I will still watch with the faint hope of the series ending well, atleast the actors are great and the story is decent right now. I think, in my entire TV watching life, there is only one show that maintained an ongoing story that lasted a long time and ended properly, that show was Star Trek Voyager.

I see your point but i dont think he will be sent into another prison i think they may just bring in a whole new cast and new way to escape but i think after the whole sona thing they should call it quits but then again these days with these shows we never know what will happen

I agree, after they get out of Sona, and all that happens, the show should just end. it should end on a high note, so this season should be the last, that is, if the producers actually take pride in their product and not just milk it for money...

Thats what i like about Lost, many fans thought the show would just drag on and on, but the producers have maintained all along that they have a gameplan and they actually announced that the series would end after 3 16 episode seasons.

TV is a unique media. It can do what a Movie just cant, and that is tell a story with much more depth. Think about it, a show like prison break is a story. if it were made into a movie, the entire story would have to be broken down into a 2, maybe 3 hour movie, while a TV show could tell a story over 100 hours...

QUOTE(pjking @ Sep 21 2007, 07:31 PM) *

yea, that was confirmed about Lost. the producers had a gameplan all along. originally, they figured the show would end at around the 100 episode point. Now its going to be 120 which is fine with me because i cant get enough of it. People were thinking that this upcoming season was going to be the regular 24 episodes, but for whatever reason, the producers are now doing the 3 seasons of 16 episodes. That was confirmed a while back, i think in late april.

I would have more faith in Prison Break if the producers would do the same, because as far as i can tell, there is no long term gameplan. If the producers said that they new what they were doing, and that the season would end after season 5 lets say, then i would have more faith, but who knows...

When michael goes to Sona he hears that people only leave in a body bag. Unless he finds a way to get out through the sewers or something I think he'll try to fake a death to get out somehow even to me that sounds crazy but you never know he could use a potion like in Romeo and Juliet.

Pls post your own escape theory below thx, I'd love to hear what you guys think.

You know what i dont get?
If Sona is run by the prisoners, why don't they all just break out?

because they would be shot. I was thinking the same as you tvshez, but if he uses a potion thing then whistler will have to do the same as Micheal n stuff could go wrong. I LOVE PRISON BREAK WOOOPPP!!!!
MemOry
i loove prison break, and i also agree that prison break should end after this season, cause whateva comes next will be too stupid to suit anymore!
and now about the story, this company thing i think that micheal is very important to them, i mean do u guys remeber seson 2, as micheal remebered a place he ad to stay, a room which was totally dark, and then his father came and rescued him, i think that also has to do somthing with the company! i eman why else should someone take a boy into a room and keep him like a prisoner.!
jmarcroyal
the reason they dont escape is because the guards and panamanian military are at the perimeter. I dont know about the sewers being a possibility, they must be blocked off or something or people would have escaped long ago. I think the escape has something to do with the bodies, but its more then just faking dead.

The bodies that came out before, the guards shot them to make sure they were dead. Maybe Michael could make a trap so when the guards take the body, it blows up or something, giving michael enough time go grab some weapons or what not. He could also make a smoke bomb so when the guards come, the area is covered in smoke so the sniper cant see and the guards cant see. This would allow Michael and whoever enough time(if well planned) to disarm the guards that show up and take their weapons and maybe clothing. Maybe they will dress like the guards and try and leave like that...
Dudefromsis
Yeah sorry,
I didnt look close enough,
In the third episode you see Mahone almost get shot by the sniper.

Like a prison break movie,
They might do that at the end of the season.
jmarcroyal
that type of movie is never satisfying, it just ends up being a 2 hour episode. Id love to see perhaps a 6 hour movie for the series finale of Lost, with say a $20 million dollar budget...

That chemical spray on the fence is interesting, but thats only part of the issue. In order to get from the prison to there, a lots gotta be done, and dont forget getting from the fence to some safe house, that would be extremely difficuly.

Im thinking that somehow, and i have no idea how, Michael will need to create some kind of a distraction, because thats the only real way. Who knows what he will do tho...

I think he will have escaped by around episode 8-10 because apparently there is a new love interest that will be introduced...
let
I read that there is going to be another season after this one. where the same thing will happen. Micheal gets locked up and has to escape blah blah.
jmarcroyal
thats whats so disapointing about this show, it just keeps playing out the same idea, but not close to the success it had in the first season. Have we even seen michaels tattoos lately? considering that was the whole premise for the show, they have really managed to get repititive while losing its original gusto.

The show could have been done in a 2 hour movie with the original premise and it would have been great. oh well, maybe Fox originally thought it would fail as a show, so they didnt plan on a future, but when it became successful, they just decided to check their credibility at the door and try and make more money.

Atleast there are shows like Lost that arent so predictable...
Dudefromsis
Prison Break rules,
I saw the first season on Star world (In Hong Kong) and since then i have downloaded or watched the whole second season and i have all 4 season 3 episodes on my iPod.
I admit is is sort of repetitive and we haven't seen the tattoo's for a long time but i think the show is still pretty good.

was there no episode last night?

apparently there was a baseball match on last nite in america so it wont be aired till the 22ND of october, although rte2(Ireland) has episode 5 schedueled this thursday so hopefully that will show it!well hopefully for us irish!
tvshez
looks like sucre has spray painted the fence so they can get out but that doesn't stop them getting shot on the way through the fence
tvshez
after this season it should just end because dragging a show on and on makes you forget that is was actually a top dollar show in the first place. End on a high not a low!!
let
Prison break is taking a 'Break' according to the sky 1 advert i saw before, it will be back on November 5th. =[
jmarcroyal
it will be back next week, on the 22nd, there was just a big ball game on monday, and money hungry fox needs the ratings so they will play the games rather then letting a sports network air them.

I doubt episode 5 will air in ireland, after all its an american show, im sure they wouldnt allow it.

Dont get me wrong, i like prisonbreak, its a good show, but it has no direction. who the hell knows where the show is leading, i guess an endless string of prisons, and if thats the case, then i say BOOOOOOOO with a big thumbs down.

The only way they could make it good is if, say, Michael needs to break someone else out, and we get to see half a season of him making an elaborate plan. He cant do the tattoo thing to himself again, perhaps linc gets inked....

One stupid thing about the show that i dont get, Michael is supposed be this genius with a photographic memory, so why the need for Tattoos? shouldnt he have just remembered everything he needed to do?

I dunno, its a good show but i dont want to be let down at the end of the series. It seems that Fox is just going to keep rehashing the same idea until it becomes profitable, then they will cancel the show. If that happens, ill regret ever watching it, and i will lose faith in the Fox Network completely. I just wish i knew that they had a plan. The Lost producers have a plan, they have said it over and over, and they even announced an end date to the series which proves that they have a plan. If the PB producers did that, well, id respect and trust them more...
Dudefromsis
It's still showing season 2 in Hong Kong but I read somewhere that is coming back on the 22nd.
parve
prison breaks is taking a break and should return 5th november (UK)
Divinel3eautyGA
I’ve been watching prison break since the first season mostly because of Wentworth Miller "Michele” but on Monday the 11th of Feb. I missed the first 30 min......I MISSED THE WHOLE DAMN PRISON BREAK....LMFAO but im interested is how the last episode will go
ImK3R3D
greatest show ever made!

its so smart!

=D
tvshez
Season 1 - break out
Season 2 - run
Season 3 - break out
and now guess what

Season 4 - break in

this show jus keeps on getting worse season by season, season 1 was 10/10 but after that it went downhill

This will be the final season of "Prison Break."Fox will shift the show to Fridays this spring for its final run of episodes, taking over for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" once the sci-fi drama finishes its run. "Prison" will air Friday nights at 8 p.m. starting April 17.

"The show just played out," says Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly. "Creatively everybody feels enough stories were told ... we want it to finish strong and not just gimp out next season."

"Prison" has four more episodes set to air, and might shoot a could extra series-ending episodes as well.

"They have a cool ending," Reilly reassured.

Fox also will seat its Mitch Hurwitz animated comedy "Sit Down, Shut Up" on April 19, filling in the "King of the Hill" slot on Sundays at 8:30 p.m. after "The Simpsons." "Sit Down" will take over after "King" has its series finale.

The first question for Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly is about putting "Dollhouse" on Fridays. Fox does have hope -- not entirely unreasonable -- for its new Friday block.

The network has a trio of serialized shows that have either struggled in the ratings ("Terminator," "Prison") or are expected to struggle in the ratings ("Dollhouse"). Faced with an otherwise crowded schedule, executives think that by pooling all the shows together to attack a night that doesn't otherwise have much competition – the biggest ratings draw is CBS' female-skewing block led by "Ghost Whisperer" -- maybe, just maybe, Fox can carve out a sustainable male-friendly niche that evening.

Nobody's betting big this will work. But this is not simply Fox pilot Kevin Reilly wearing a rising sun bandanna aiming his plane at the deck of the U.S.S. Friday Night.

not ever having watched an episode i will never know what i missed but i am sure that many fans of the show will be saddened by this turn of events.

im quite surprised too. i admit im in the boat with you, ive never seen an ep of it either, and i really do like dominic purcell.....i know thats quite strange, but i was looking for something to replace some of the shows i like that are ending/have ended their runs.....guess i can always start from scratch with stuff around here, but all in all, its one more found just too late...
urbangiggles
Wow, this is shocking. I thought this was one of Fox's few attractions, in my opinion anyway. I have missed some episodes due to how it plays during Raw, but I still caught what I could. But this really does suck, it is a great show. Oh well, hopefully they will get something that is just as great to take its place.

...the first season was amasing, the rest that followed was way below par,im a fan of the show and have seen all episodes to date but i feel that they've streched the storyline too far,as long as they come up with a satisfactionary ending to the show ill be happy...
z1rdarryl
I really liked this show.
Season 2 was a little disappointing.
But season 3 was great.
Season 4 was a roller coaster ride.
I was hoping that they would turn season 5 into a Mission Impossible type format.
But like they say, All good things have to end. sad.gif

this was a quality show...but its called prison break...you can only break out so many times tongue.gif

im sad to see it go but i think its for the best

The series finale of Prison Break airs on Sky1 on Tuesday, May 19 at 10pm. Prison Break: The Final Break can be seen on Sky1 on Wednesday, May 27 at 10pm.

Prison Break ended 2 weeks backat Season 4, Episode 22.
The intention was to make 23 episodes, the last one being called "Free", but it never hit the screens.
It strikes me that this one was made as an alternative ending.
BTW, thx (from my wife) for the Hebrew subtitled version.

I'd say so yeah mate so don't give into temptation and watch it as it'll spoil all of season 4 and what's left of season 3 for you.
