Waiting to Inhale
Shoomer

Waiting to Inhale explores every side of the conflict, taking viewers inside the lives of individuals whose lives have been uniquely affected by terminal illness and drug use. Is marijuana really a gateway drug? Is there scientific evidence to support the claim that marijuana can treat the painful symptoms of illnesses such as cancer, AIDS and multiples sclerosis? The film sheds new light on this controversial struggle, presenting exclusive access to the first medical studies on smoked cannabis to take place in over thirty years.

Drugs are to blame for a lot of things. Drugs are relatively unchangeable. It is the stupid, ignorant, irresponsible person that give drugs a bad name. Our country spends millions jailing non-violent drug offenders (except for the stupid, ignorant, irresponsible dealers) and making anti-drug ads. But alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical drugs are out of the discussion. Don't you love America?

Our country spends millions on housing drug offenders but you know how much money they also make off drug offenders?

The powers that be are scared about the insights marijuana can help give to it's users, insights about the true realities of their controlling ways.

They prefer to dumb the masses down and make tax through the sale of alcohol, or covertly create illegal revenue and neurotic acute dependency via the hard drug black markets. The heroin production from Afghanistan has achieved record highs (no pun intended), since the US invasion - "War on drugs?" - yeah righto.

Nothing wrong with responsible use of this incredible plant, just our governments in both shadow and light.

I have often wondered why the cannabis laws recently changed and become more relaxed here in the UK, and why there is now speculation and propaganda to devolve this change and backtrack. Maybe behind the scenes some thought it a good idea to also dumb down or comatose the culture (particularly the youth), with some super strong indica, but now they're not so sure. It's use can inspire well founded revolutionary thoughts - a threat to the establishment - if we can bothered get off our asses and do something about it.

Power to the people!

Any drug that people use for long periods of time and become addicted to will have negative affects. And yes people, pot is addictive.

THC is not a chemically addictive molecule. Meaning your brain doesn't need it for dependency after using it.
I can agree that it can be psychologically addicting depending on ones preference of usage for whatever reason. Whether it's for back pain, creative writing, or to just simply forget about stressful events. It doesn't cause cancer or emphysema like nicotine does. I've switched to vaporizing, more THC, no carcinogens.
