It seems to have worked for quite a few people, even though they didnt post it on that thread..there was another one with the same instructions posted by someone else and most of the posts there prove that it did work ^^ So unfortunately, you might have to reinstall your vista ultimate.

It's probably because your AV program sees all keylogging programs as threats - it doesn't know that you're the 'user' and not the 'usee' (the guy it's being used on). If this is what it's doing, it's a 'false positive' from the AV. Scan it and see if it flags it as a virus, or just a 'potentially unwanted application'.

Here's another keylogger that you could try though, if your AV gives you the same result then I think it's time to delve deeper into the whole AV/keyloggers situation... Or start a thread on the main Internet Cafe board asking for safety info on keyloggers - someone around here must know.
