Metallica - Some Kind of Monster
A documentary crew followed Metallica for the better part of 2001-2003, a time of tension and release for the rock band, as they recorded their album St. Anger, fought bitterly, and sought the counsel of their on-call shrink.

Good find, not a metallica fan, but Jeordie White is in this.

I just can't take metallica serious anymore after seeing this. Kirk is the only levelheaded dude in the band and it shows. tongue.gif

Wikked post. The funniest shit ever. They are so up their own .... . Kirk is excused, I would have a habit if I had too hang out with Ulrich for 20+ years. The best part is when their therapist thinks he is a part of the band HAHAHAHA.

Lars is the McCartney of Metallica, but worse. you only have to look at his dad to see where ee gets it from. The guy is like a mummy from the tomb of Ahken-Ra.
I enjoyed this more than I thuoght I would - it can be tough getting on with band personnel behind the scenes I reckon - but I think they had to invent a reason for Hetfield to storm out half way through - like a plot point - where would he have gone if not to rehab....and Lars - the agony of wondering how much he'dget for his paintings at auction - fuckin' Rark!
Kirk should have said something like 'James you stormed out you don't have to go to rehab'.
I think Mustaine had a point - he was still pissed at being kicked out - in fact, apart from The producer and their guru guy - who was funny because he kept suggesting that they still needed him around at $40 000 a month or something - everyone else seemed pissed off at them.
the ideal ending would have been if Hetfield had left for good...sreioulsy though - there was a twinge of excitementwhen they went on stage for st anger - you were left feeling you had been through the mill to a certain extent.
'fuck!...fuck!' - there I said it smile.gif

I love watching rich people whine about how no one takes their feelings into consideration and they get all touchy and feely. I laughed the whole way through this. They're drama queens seriously. I swear to god rich people are the most unhappy people on earth next to middle class white kids. ITS SO MEDIOCRE! WHY CAN'T I BE POOR SO I HAVE SOMETHING TO WHINE ABOUT! or...or...I'M SO RICH SO THERE FOR I MUST DO A BUNCH OF DRUGS, I MUST GO TO REHAB AT LEAST FORTY TIMES SO EVERYONE CAN GET INSPIRED BY ME!

Good lord they made better music when they were all on drugs and were fighting. The whole therapy thing didn't work for them. If I were Kirk I'd of kicked Ulrich and Hetfield's ass a long ass time ago.

my oh my that is some funny stuff, the older Lars gets, the more full of crap he seems to be. I feel a strange sympathy for Kirk though, stuck between those two loons.
could have been marketed as a comedy if it had been edited a little differently. some kind of "Spinal Tap Goes Touchy Feely" type chat

its interesting to watch a band implode
BiPolarPoet
After seeing this, I may not be able to listen to them with the same respect I once had for the band. But it does take some guts to realize that you need some professional help before its too late and everything falls apart.
