n1 else think this site is getting 2 big?..or am i just getting old and borerd?

Interesting, I also think since adding chat which brought about new site dimension combined with new forum software the site does feel way bigger. Not to mention combining user number growth.

Is there anything that in particular bugs you or any ideas that you have, maybe an underground forum for long term users??

yeah u could be right b right mate i seem 2 b getting a lot
of problems and these seem 2 come with the site growing.
example i just tried too log in too the chat and its telling me
too install java and download an activex control, i already have java and its enabled, these could
just b teething problems with the new change over or it could b
cause its getting bigger

dunno for anybody else but the load up time is so slow that i am at the point where i aint gonna bother coming on anymore, just thought it might be server overload?

I'm not really having any problems with site growth. The load time hasn't been an issue with me, at the most it takes 5-10 seconds to load a page. There are 60,000 members...but I wonder what the percentage is for those who actually post out of that number?

mmm..interesting it takes something like a minute for a page to load for me, perhaps its a problem on my end, yet rest of my net works perfect.

but the question is, is it still possible to get into the members only sections w/o registering? i assume it is... and i'd change that, would take some load off the server...

yep it really is that bad for me, and i got a pretty decent spec pc, and fast broadband connection

Ill ask around and see what can be changed for a fix, hopefully we find the issue and get the site more usable again.

I do agree with phat with the increase of login probs for me.. Also error msgs such as 'server is inaccessible' and so on.
But still come back to QSS for more no matter if i hv to wait long. Guess I'm full blown QSS addict now!

right now it's ok for me. but at times when there are like 600 visitors it pisses me off a bit.

mmm... i posted a reply and it aint there,all it said was i was gonna do a vrus scan and change some settings, but like i said rest of my net is working fine

I dont think its you, its the forum, if you check the main index its running fine. Something must be bugging the server, we just have to find out what.

nope i'm with phathead mind you, you would say that seeing that you are a new member here where as other people that have joined ages ago e.g me, phathead, RockZ etc will find it big because b4 we were used to have a small amount of members...but as the months go by more and more members join n old members find it geting big...

It sped up a bit for me, its suprising as im 6 hours flight west of you so I should be getting it slower, either way will be investigating later, if we move all images (pirates + icons) to another server it may just help, and maybe disabling a couple of unrequired functions. Did you try the low fi version? maybe its quicker..

Yep has limits but hopefully willhelp until we throw images elsewhere - he link is at the bottom of all pages, just highlight the bottom box and its in the middle.

I've noticed the loading speed for the forums has been going down too.
Can take ages for the page to load now-a-days.
