I just got out from doing 45 mutha F'ing days. I Got caught driving on a suspended license and they slapped me in the face with 45 days. It sucked pretty bad man. I can however make a hell of a burrito now out of some pre packaged beef and some ramen noodles and a tortilla. Jail food is retarded. I don't know if other people on here have been in jail before but atleast in my county.....they feed inmates the worst food you can ever imagine.

Longest time I've spent in jail was 9 days over Christmas and New Years Eve 2 years ago I was sad I just wanted to get out and spend Christmas with my family lol. They would feed us sausage and biscuits every morning and they kept it like 50 degrees up in there I thought I was gonna die of pneumonia laugh.gif the walls would make your sheets on your bed sweat and mold it was shitty. Down here in Arkansas they want yo ass to be miserable so you don't come back I guess. Thought I'd share. Glad to have you back linkn.

I have been arested and put into the county jail/police basement..wherever they put em in your country..though
xjanacx
Did 60 days in county for assault, 45 days for commercial burglary. First two weeks aren't so bad. You can sleep the first two weeks away. Then it's just a matter of doing everything you can to keep your mind busy from going insane from boredom. I bet I read at least 50 books during that 60 day stint. Oh, and beating narcs up for commissaries. Anywho, welcome back linkn! Glad your free again. 45 days over a suspended license is really crap.

Did a month in the Scrubs when i was younger, made me vow never to go back in there again, and i ain't.

Mark what the hell does that have to do with the price of tea in China? How would that be any different than if he ran one over with a license? WTF man? He did his time so get over it. It could have been suspended for any number of reasons, like not paying his taxes or something like that. Very capable drivers with licenses cause bad accidents all the time. So yeah, I'm sure we would all still be very welcoming. It's not our place to judge him and sentence him all over again. He's already been though that. Accept it. Seriously, get over it.

QSS seems to have quite a few jail birds...laugh.gif tongue.gif

I've never been to jail yet...been cuffed and put in the back of a police car...and had a number of run-ins with the law...but that's about the extent of my experiences. If I can, I'd rather stay out of jail.

Good to hear you're out...at least you weren't drinking and driving...

No...but he didn't, so that's irrelevant. Also...a suspended license != (does not equal) a bad driver necessarily.

if he doesn't have a licence he doesn't have insurance, one comes with the other,as i said before a dickhead with no license or insurance knocked me of a motor bike head on,so i was out of work for 8 months unpaid(self employed)hospital costs repairs and so on,so i got sweet FA because he had no licence.and he gets a couple of months. so i does have something to do with the price of tea in china,
how much did it cost the tax payer for the little stint inside.
why not say i been away for a couple of months,ni i just got out of prison, the thread has turned into look at me the hard man i ve been in jail.

I don't know how they do it in your county but in all counties around here the jails are alloted a specific amount of money the sheriff makes the menu and all the money left over he get to keep. So any one want to imagine what kind of food the prisoners around here get lol. Sucks pretty bad from what I've been told..Good to have you back

Could have been drinking and driving, or any number of other reasons as well, I'm sure. That still doesn't necessarily = bad driver...maybe they drive great when they're sober, but made a bad mistake and drove home drunk one night?

Driving with a suspended license isn't like driving drunk, like you are implying. You can be fairly sure that someone who is shitfaced will probably drive pretty bad, and may be a danger to themselves and others, but that isn't necessarily true with someone who has a suspended license (unless they are shitfaced as well).

You're probably right that most people with suspended licenses are probably bad drivers, but not always.

I guess the bottom line is that someone with a suspended license shouldn't be driving, because it's the law. laugh.gif tongue.gif

Jail sucks. We had burnt fried greasy bologna and runny eggs for breakfast. The cell was so crowded 2 of of us had to sleep on cold ass floor. I swore I'd never return but alas I did a couple of times. I think I would rather die now rather than go back for even a single day. I'm just too claustrophobic.

stargazr1976
I once got my license suspended. I was driving my motherinlaws car when a dog ran out in front of the car in front of me. He had abs brakes I didnt. Wound up assending a much newer vehicle with that piece of crap subaru. Come to find out the car didnt have insurance so they suspended my license.

Word to the accuser out there. Dont be comparing crimes like baby killing with suspension of your license and get the chip off your shoulder.

Glad to see your out link. Stay safe.

xjanacx
Markgg you can have your license suspended for any number of reasons that don't have anything to do with improperly operating a motor vehicle. He could have been caught walking down the road with a bag of weed in his pocket and lost his license over it. Oh, also, not having a license and not having insurance do not go hand in hand. I lost my license due to marijuana possession charge and maintained insurance for over a year before I got it back. Start Farm probably didn't check my MVR during that time so I didn't get canceled. Hell, they didn't even cancel me afterwards when I renewed my policy. Sounds to me like you should have had "uninsured motorists" and "short term disability" coverage. Don't blame the other guy because you are under insured. Maybe next time you won't be so careless when picking your coverage instead of driving around with liability only.
markgg

the point is he drove a car with no licence,so just because he didn't hit anything you think its ok to do so.

don't know if its different for you but when i insure my car my policy covers me to drive any car, never heard of a car been insured so anyone can drive it.
sounds like you had no insurance which is why you where suspended, don't know.laws might be different.but i doupt it.

At the time I didnt own a car. Fell on a bit of bad luck so no I didnt have any insurance.

you walk down the street get caught with weed and have your driving licence suspended, thats the craziest shit i've heard.one messed up law.never heard that one.

ok so you lose you licence which means you can't drive so whats the point in having insurance, you cash in your insurance policy like any normal person, your telling me if you had a crash your insurance would pay out after finding out you where driving with a suspended licence.whats your brokers name. i ll sign up.

It may or may not be okay to do so. The point is there is no reason to give him crap about it, by bringing up irrelevant and hypothetical child involved accidents, as he has paid his debt to society. No matter what your experiences may have been. He's square with the house again.

ok. linkin was lucky he didn't hit anything but i wasn't.so i see someone doing the same thing it pisses me off and come onto a forum and brag about it lets be honest its bragging could of said i was away for awhile but i am back, good. welcome back.but it wasn't done like that.

if he did hit a child.i know IF.would he have told us all what he did,i don't think so.

I did 3 weeks in New Jersey , cant say it was the worst experience of my life , the claustrophobia was bad to start with but you get used to it . Toughens you up .....Oh and the food was pretty good

U saying that an insurace co would still pay out even if u had no license ? If so , i very much doubt it .

Bragging? No, he simply told us where he's been and why he was gone and how much the experience sucked and that he's glad it's over now. Not once did he in anyway imply that he was happy about, or proud of it. Shame on you for even suggesting it. Shame. As far as the child thing goes, again irrelevant. It's a shock tactic to make your invalid point.

markgg
invalid. everything you've talked about has been invalid from walking in the street losing a driving licence for walking with weed your insurance company not minding you losing it,to" hypothetical accidents involving children"are you on a different planet do read the stuff you type out load, you should, you sound like you haven't got a clue what your talking about.
hypothetical accidents involving children happen every day of the week by idiots without insurance or a licence.
and your Point is stop giving him crap.
maybe when you grow up have children off your own, you'll feel a little different about idiots who flaunt the law and drive a car without a care in the world.

this lady hit a child coming out of her drive way http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=317836 i ll say it again linkin was lucky but stupid.

You asked:
QUOTE(markgg @ Nov 13 2009, 05:47 PM) *
are you serious, why else would you have a licence suspended.

I gave you an example of why else he may have his license suspended, and one that didn't have anything to do with driving abilities. Drug possession. If you'd like a different example I can go on and on. He may have not payed a fine. Most states will suspend your license for that as well. Valid response to your statement. Surely you hadn't forgotten you stated it?

You said:

So, yes, it would appear I have read and thought about what you and I have both written and understand it fine. I'm do apologize if you are having a hard time following along.

Hypothetical accidents involving children do not happen every day, as they are only hypothetical. Also, real accidents involving children happen everyday caused by idiots that do have insurance and a license so you really have no point there.

I am 31 and have children, and I don't want my kids playing in the road under any circumstance. Licensed drivers or not.

you maintained your insurance policy during your license been suspension.Hypothetical,if you had an accident the insurance company would have paid out?No.

this child was on the footpath,i am pretty sure the driver thought she wouldn't hit a child reversing out of her drive.Hypothetical can turn into real life in the blink of an eye.

great example you are to your kids.defending someone breaking the law.
