Description:
Gratuitous Space Battles is a unique strategy game where you play the role of supreme commander of a vast fleets of spaceships, battling against AI controlled or player-designed enemy fleets. GSB is not a conventional strategy game, but more of an RTS/Tower Defense hybrid, where you design the ships, position the fleet, issue pre-battle orders and then sit back and watch the explosive galactic mayhem take place. Did you include enough fusion beams on your capital ships? Maybe you should have assigned some fighters to escort those ships in the middle of the fleet? GSB also allows you to challenge other players by uploading your best fleets to serve as their opposition, in a massively single-player galactic smorgasbord of laser-death!

Features:

* Design your spaceships from a large range of interchangeable weapons, defenses and other components
* Some of the most gratuitous visual effects you will have seen in a 2D game
* Unique online challenge system lets you prove who is a better admiral, you or your friends…
* Sprawling battles with hundreds of ships let you slow down time and freeze frame to work out exactly why the SS indestructible failed to live up to its name!

Minimum System Req:
Windows XP / Vista (32-Bit)
64 MB 3D Video Card
1024×768 Minimum Resolution
DirectX 9.0c

lol, me taking this down would do nothing ... if people want it, they will find it elsewhere.
and incase you didnt notice, your in forums that generally tend to focus on pirating ... so (not to sound rude, but) if your not a fan, feel free to wonder elsewhere.

its noble of you to ask, but comon man ... seriously? lol.
its well known in the scene that if you like a game when you download it, that you should go purchase it. most of the people that are going to download this game wernt going to purchase it anyway, and at least this way word of the game gets out. the more players the better. companies like EA and BioWare need our support just as much this guy ...

Trust me, pirating stuff like this, is good business, it will boost the sales of his next project, all things work out,
hey rather then asking to take it down, go buy it emoticon-0127-lipssealed.gif

I already did. I thought we might have some honor among pirates but it seems not. I only pirate movies/tv not games.

there is honor between us. being as we wouldn't have bought the game in the first place, isnt playing it better then nothing? then ill be able to talk about it and spread the word.

I'll agree with that.

Many video game consumers are wary lately, as they have been burnt by shovelware games by one-shot developers. This includes those who have a demo, as the demo was like a cheap action movie trailer - shows all the best parts but a storyline. People want to find reassurance and quality from developers, and a developer they can trust again, because they have become worried about falling for a money scam.

If the game appeals to them, then they will be likely to buy the full version and sequels. If the game wasn't worth playing even though they downloaded it for free, then it either wasn't for them or wasn't up to their standards.

But I do have to agree with you, it spreads word of mouth, which is the best thing of all for indie developers.
