After her husband is arrested for anti-government demonstrations in Africa, she flees to an enchanting villa in Rome where she gains employment working for an eccentric recluse Mr. Kinsky (David Thewlis; Seven Years in Tibet, The Island of Dr. Moreau).
Kinsky soon becomes obsessed with Shandurai and the two find themselves in a web of attraction and denial, of awakening and discovery. But in exchange for her love, Shandurai asks one request of Kinsky - a request so powerful it means he would ask himself the ultimate question, "How far would you go for passion?"
