If a woman is raped in the city and she doesn't cry out, then she is to be put to death, but it's okay if the rape occurs in a field, as nobody is there to hear her screams. In that latter case the biblical authors show mercy to the rape victim and spare her life.

A christian believes in the bible, an atheist understands the bible.
I've come from the other direction. I was (still am) a theologist with several decades of experience and lecture in several universities around this planet.
I became atheist 23 years ago, and my only regret is that I didn't do it much earlier.

Then there is NephilimFree, the guy that said that there is a mountain, check it, a MOUNTAIN of dog fossil bones in Australia, and that they have only been there for a few thousand years. I guess god loves to play the odd practical joke to test people huh. These people really take the cake in the idiot stakes, and the funniest part is, they seem so genuine in their idiocy and outright lies.

There are those who have IQ's that could be mistaken for a shoe-size.
The only purpose their collective brain serves, is to keep their ears apart.
They make sweeping statements that "science knows nothing" when they themselves know nothing about any branch of even basic science.
Why I pointed out VenomfangX, is that I have had the dubious honour of actually meeting this lobotomised motor-mouth and know him for the money-grubbing spoilt brat he actually is.
Nephilinfree - now there's a newbie for me. I'm just wondering if he knows where Australia is. Some US fundies have set up shop there (i.e. Ken Ham) and on several occasions have been caught doing their utmost to wreck the system there, saying "We're doing God's work" to justify their actions. Then cry "persecution" when handed the bill for the damage they caused.
