I'm trying to upload to megaupload and it's not working is it just me?

I get no upload speed at all on it
greeniz
Nothing for me either... it just showed 0kb transfer rate for a short time and then just said undefined, which was a link that reloaded the upload page.
TheHatedMenace
Yeah I know. Ok I guess I'll just have to wait till later thanks green

Working fine for me...

greeniz
Well still nothing for me... (spoke too soon, see edit blow)

Edit: Well I just tried a download and it started fine and then I tried to upload again and it worked fine as well. Just a temporary issue I suppose, not unusual for MU.
morpheusprime
i have been uploading to mu non-stop since last night. at first nothing would upload. shut down nod 32. no probs. at all. if you are using nod 32 or kaspersky, (whatever its called) if you don't disable the firewall and protection (temperaraly) your upload could stop and you get "undefined". (scanners get confused with something connecting to the net) or if you have two puters, when its not working, switch to the other one and it works. but most of the time temp. shutting down nod will do it.

Not working at all for me. I click upload and it just sits there for about 10 seconds then claims the file is fully uploaded, gives a link and everything but when I test it, it's not there. Can anyone point me in the direction of a similar site that has batch uploading and will stream through Brownee? i'm new at this uploading stuff.
morpheusprime
if it gave you a link, it should work. how are you testing it. does it show up in your file manager? the instant upload is quite common. if the file is already there,(uploaded by someone else) they just link to it. (so your not really uploading it) sometimes it takes a little while to show up.

Oh really? I didn't know that. I try and watch it through Brownee's generator but it says server denying access to file (403). I'll try it again

Man I'd hate to upload something and get linked to someone else's file then you wouldn't get the points for the downloads would you? If that's the case I guess I'd just rename the file to something different so it would be my own. But yeah the not uploading was just a temp issue. And DAYUM! Seb you get hella fast upload speed man I only get around 60k a sec at the max. Windstream sux in my area. What ISP you got?

You don't actually get the same identical link the original uploader did. You get your own link. You get the points for it, but it links to the same file on there servers. That way they save TONS of space by not having the same file spread all over the place. Yeah, I get extremely wicked speeds, but I pay for em. As for my ISP, I won't divulge that here.
TheHatedMenace
I pay 50 a month for crappy ass 300k a sec top download speed i'm gettin ripped but it's the only ISP we have in this area.

$99.64 a month (that's tax included) for what is supposed to be a 9megabit/s down and 1.5 up. Of course I used a lil program to tweak my speeds and now I actually get,

Oh, and that 99 also includes my extended cable tv (which I never watch because of QSS).

i can't upload to MU at all for days now. i have a premium account too. it is getting annoying to me.
TheHatedMenace
SEB you mind sharing the name of the program? I doubt I could get any faster but it's worth a shot.

If it's the same one he's posted before, then he was referring to TCP Optimizer (Not for Vista or Windows 7)

TheHatedMenace
Oh well shucks do you think you could run it in xp compatibility mode on 7?

Edit: It works fine on 7

Well as of yesterday something crazy started happening. The upload goes from zero to 100 percent (as in I can see the numbers counting up) at a superfast rate of speed, and my upload speed is being reported as 18MB/s (I wish), and then it set's there and verify's for an hour, then I get undefined. It's not like when the file is already on the server and the upload automatically completes. This is something new. The whole time it's verifying I have no other internet access whatsoever. Nothings frozen, but internet access is cut off until I completely close the browser. The only way I can get an upload to work is to use megamanager. This is happening in both Firefox and IE.
greeniz
That is crazy, I just did a test upload using FF and it worked just fine.
When it's happened, could you detect anything else abnormal on your system? When you say you had no internet access, was it just the browser that couldn't access any other pages or could other apps not connect either?
Nailz
I only just started uploading to megaupload, and got to say so far it's a pain in the butt

Can't use megamanager to upload, when add files it just freezes the whole program up and can't get it to work again after that unless I uninstall and reinstall it

If use multi uploader by megaupload site, some files upload fine, then one gets stuck, timer just goes back and forward by a few seconds, so have to cancel and start over, which is really annoying as set uploads to go before I goto bed, so get up expecting all my files to uploaded, but maybe only 1 or 2 have and then got stuck.

Oh and got a upload up in 4 parts, the 4 parts are fine on my pc, but once they was uploaded to MU, the last 2 was out of sync, yet the files themselves on my pc are fine.

Nothing else that I can see. I tested running other programs in the background and they continued on normally. Nothing hangs. Tried 3 messenger programs AIM, YAHOO, and SKYPE, they won't connect. Tried IE while testing with Firefox and Vice Versa, they would not connect. Other tabs in the either browser I'm testing with will not connect either. When I shutdown whatever browser I'm using to upload to Megaupload, or the verification completes and gives the undefined error (could be a few minutes to an hour depending on the file size) ,all internet connectivity goes back to normal.

Oh well, I guess I'll keep using the megamanger. Or, just make the switch to VEEHD.

Are you using custom firmware on your modem to change your speeds? I've been thinking about it for awhile now but we have one ISP in the area and if I get busted I'll loose my service.....

The reason I say this is because no program on your PC can actually go past the speeds your ISP sets in your modems firmware.

i've had upload problems w/mega the last 5 weeks. its a hit or miss thing - more often failure and always quits with an "undefined" error at the 5.5 hr. mark..frustrating when my isp/location limits me to 34Kbs up and a typical 700mb file takes 6 hrs. to complete. uploading at different time periods or using their megamgr. doesn't matter, i have the same error. the last successfull upload took me over a week of reconnects. its not a hard/software problem at my end, its whatevr doo-doo shit they're doing at their side to encourage paid subscriptions.
