Dragon Age: Start from the creators of "Mass Effect", "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" and the legendary project "Baldur's Gate" - the studio BioWare, comes an epic story of violence, lust and betrayal.

In "Dragon Age: Getting" The player will assume the role of the Gray Guards, one of the last of the ancient order. For the sake of restoring peace to the player to make tough decisions and be prepared to sacrifice their friends and loved ones for the benefit of all mankind. I was looking forward to this until I saw the combat. It's too easy and boring having your screen freeze everytime you come into contact with the enemy.

Sigh, not a fan of BioWare's RPG's at all, oh well.

Just downloaded this earlier on this evening. If you like RPG games then this is probably the first one that actually lives up to Baldurs Gate. Great game so far from what i've played of it and it's getting glowing reviews.

That only happens if you hit spacebar to intentionally pause it for strategising. Combat is fluid and uninterrupted.

Hi Kabaal. How did you combine the .iso files? When I extracted .001 with the others named accordingly and in the same directory, only the first was extracted. I can mount the others but only one at a time. Sorry for being so noobish - could you (or anyone else) help me out? :-(

Use Hjsplit to combine or split ISOs, it's what i used. It puts all those parts into one iso that will mount on demon tools etc. http://hjsplit.en.softonic.com/

Maybe I'm being dense here, but I can't get them to work, I downloaded them all then extracted them, now I'm left with a load of stupidly named folders that all have a contents folder inside them with the files I need I guess but when I use the DA updater it wont find anything that I can install.

The ones from the direct link don't need extracted. The daupdater sees them just the way they are when you download them.

I still have the zips too and the updater isn't seeing them, I tried adding .DAzip on the end of them and still nothing

Weird, i just randomly downloaded one and it sees it fine for me. Try The Helm of the Deep one as a test, that's the one i just tried.

Edit - I didn't need to do any renaming btw, they are .dazip as is.

I deleted all of the files I downloaded and redownloaded the Helm of the Deep one, and DA updater still doesn't see it, do you use winzip or winrar as a default? Maybe that's why, I only have winRAR.

WinRAR as default for me, it shouldn't matter though. I hate to state the obvious, but are you clicking the "Select DAZIP's" button at the bottom of the updater?

Lol, yeah I'm fairly computer literate, atleast I was before I tried to install this damn game lol. But yeah I click the select DAzip button, then go to where I downloaded the files and they just don't show up.

Nevermind, I found a really long ass way of doing it, when I browse the folder with the .zip's in, I just copy the name and enter that in the select dazip thing and it finds it.

The unauthorised content it mentioned about the DLC stuff, does that include Warden's Keep and The Stone Prisoner on your game?

I dont "think" so, i havent gotten that far yet. You need to X level to get to them and more advisable X level + 10 to do them comfortably. My toons are only around level 6ish.

As far as i know there's only a few minor things that you need to register on the site with a retail key for, the +XP ring being one of them. I easily have 10-15 unlocked in the DLC menu in the game incuding wardens keep.

Yeah that's what I meant, in my unlocked content list it says that Wardens Keep is unauthorised.

I tend to only pirate games from so-so developers. I'm loyal to bio-ware always have been.

While I agree with you in purchasing the game to support the company, I do like to make sure what I would be buying is actually what I want.
Hence a trial is in order, if I could have trialed Neverwinter nights : Storm of Zehir. I would not have bought it, as it wasn't really the game I was aiming for, based on it's title.
Bioware has been a good friend to me ever since Baldur's gate, so I'll try this. Love it, then buy it.

any of you ever get the Wardens Keep and Stone Prisoner to actually work? I can get the quests, but the control rod for the Golom, the map location for the Golom, and the map location for Wardens Keep never show up after I talk to the guy in my camp.

I bought the game so all that stuff came with it. But honestly the Dragon Armor is crap you find so much better stuff later on. Some decent stuff in Wardens keep though other than that you'll find better as the story progresses and it sucks you can't get shale to work. She's one helluva a meat tank.
