I was just watching Zombie II and in one scene a girl is diving underwater in the ocean when a zombie comes up and tries to eat her. It got me thinking, how far could a zombie walk under the ocean? Could he, say, walk from the UK to France? Now, crossing the atlantic or pacific would be impossible with the trenches being miles deep, but could a zombie from Jamaica conceivably make it to Florida? They obviously don't need air, or suffer cold, and since their lungs don't work, they don't need to worry about pressure, but would they just end up victims of animals? Sharks along with a lot of predators won't touch decayed flesh so could the smaller creatures that do, cause enough damage to stop them?

All of these questions that science just doesn't have answers for...

zombies could concievably walk underwater from one country to another. Since you have to take them out by head trauma, the only way they'd really die durin the walk is if the pressure crushed their heads. If a zombie bit a shark, whale, or what have you, the real question is will that start a chain reaction of zombie aquatic life?

I concur with V1 - definitely could make the trip. However, the dripping, oozing and decaying body parts would definitely attract a lot of sharks and other creatures for a feast. I'd say they'd never make it the entire way having been devoured gooey head to toe first.
