Full Version: Ac3 Filter Problem

Hi, i'm having a bit of trouble streaming any divx file using the ac3 filter. I've never had a problem before, but once i changed from 32-bit vista to 64-bit windows 7 the problems started.

Once i start the stream, the ac3 icon appears in my tool bar. The film looks like its streaming fine but then it keeps flashing, buffering 100%, and pausing even if iv left it till the entire program has downloaded.( Or sometimes streams fine but with no sound).

If i press play it will play for a second or two, and then keep flashing the buffering 100% box. Sometimes with no sound or sometimes with badly distorted sound.

I can watch, if i exit the browser and play from the download folder, but not while streaming. The sound though is still distorted.

Ive tried uninstalling the filter and reinstalling and uninstalling and installing the klite codec pack, but nothing seems to fix it.

Any bright spark out there, with any ideas ?

your best bet is to download the file and play it on your PC.

Yo I get the same problem on various videos. It's got to be something with the audio encoding used on the video because on this one movie I tried (can't remember which one) it did this so I waited for a different version and when the repack came out for the movie it played just fine for me. It's a very odd problem that no one has an answer for. It's nothing to do with the ac3filter i'm thinking because I have that, klitecodec, ffdshow, all that good stuff.

I too had upgraded my AC3 codec some time ago, But only have had issues on certain links. I have since went back to this version posted in above link ac3filter_1_11 ... no more problems! Issue solved. Thanks QSS brain trust.
