Ok. So I'm shocked that we're this close to Halloween 2009 or Samhain (as the Pagans call it) and still, nobody has posted this thread. So here's the deal... Post the following, if you will:

1.) A description and a picture of you in your costume.
2.) Where you're going for Halloween 2009 and what you're doing there.
3.) Who you're going with.
4.) Any other details you think we might find interesting.
=======================================================
**Of course, I'll go first to kick start this party! lol**

Obviously, I'm going as Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight (2008). My wife and I are going to Athens, OH on Sat. Oct. 31, 2009 for Athens' Annual Halloween Block Party! Tons of drinking, costumes, rowdy college students and skimpy lingerie with bunny ears... happy.gif Fun for the whole family! lol

I'll post pictures of my weekend sometime Sat. or Sun. Now, you guys do yours!

Peace,

**Note: I know that the makeup isn't the best, nor is the picture. This was just a test shot to see how it would generally look. I'll have better pics with the scars, suit and all, up later! wink.gif**

1. My costume: A Satyr (goat-man)

Here's what I will sorta look like:

2. Helping my Mom throw a Halloween party for her day-care kids she is having tomorrow. (I just finished putting up decorations and then decorated a Halloween cake.)
I do it every year. Every year I make a Jack-O'-Lantern pinata for the kids to bust. I also used to make sugar cookies, ghosts, pumpkins, & black cats, but not this year sad.gif
I made a "pin the nose on the Jack-O'-Lantern" game way back in the 90's that my Mom has kept and brings out each year. I then carve a Jack-O'-Lantern so the kids can watch. Then we all eat goodies. Pretty much the same each year.

On Halloween I will be going Trick-or-Treating with my neice. She'll be going as a gothic cheerleader, a.k.a. "Bad Spirit".

After that I hope to get together w/ friends and check out local haunted or spooky places. We have several spots w/ reputations of being haunted or spooky, including a location that is supposedly the site of Satanic worship. It's called The Purple Church. The lore goes that on Saturdays with a full moon, Satanists sacrifice a virgin to Satan. Of course it's not true but it's a good scary place to visit.

Last weekend was our annual "Gouls Gone Wild" parade. It's a huge Halloween-themed parade that features The Flaming Lips, natives to my state. I was pissed that I didn't get to go as nobody wanted to go with me. sad.gif

The Gouls Gone Wile parade always ends with "The March Of The 1,000 Flaming Skeletons".

I so hope I can go next year!

Man, Halloween is my FAVORITE Holiday. I love it! I guess it's the Celt in me.

Wishing Everyone A Hauntingly Horrific Halloween!!!

Me in costume, as normal.

Where, anywhere some idiot lights a bonfire in a dangerous position(and tonight there will be quite a few) or drives drunk.

With who. The rest of the crew.

Ok people its Halloween, one of the silly seasons. If you are at a bonfire please be safe and for shits sake DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. Have a good time and be safe and sensable when you are doing it.
