never had a problem with the program for ages,but now it converts but wont burn for some reason.

Might be your DVD burner, they wear out

dont say that, im getting cheesed off with laptop burners.

Uninstall then reinstall ,have you tried this.

yes done that....system restored as well incase something was installed by nipper.

ya they came to the same conclusion as I did,lol ...Sounds like your burners pooched

Or,

Start using Nero Burning Rom. I always convert with TMPGEnc and then burn with Nero 7. Maybe you'll have better luck using a program specifically for burning rather than a converting program with a burning option built in. Also, always burn as slow as possible.

When I had that problem I removed the drive controler in device manager rebooted controller reinstalled automaticly and everything went fine after that.
