Anyone else having problems downloading with gigabyte upload?
Seemed fine a few weeks ago, now it cuts out 30secs after starting, just wondering if anyone has experienced it, or heard anything, etc
Thank you
Wingnutt
For some reason, everytime I try just the download-no stream-they only give me 17,000 MB or so and that's it. Useless file.
SEB
Exactly what is it you are downloading Wingnut that is 16.6 gigs and useless? You guys should try using a download manager like DownThemAll for firefox.

oops 170,000 KB or so is what I meant. Don't know where my head was at when I posted that. Was supposed to be a movie both times I tried downloading but the file finished downloading or I'm not sure what and wouldn't work. There was a file but didn't work. Tossed em out. Can't recall which movies. Anyways, Not any help from me here, sorry. Back to True Blood !

used downloadhelper a long time ago, but im reinstalliung it now

You guys should use a download manager such as DownThemAll so that you will get multiple connections to the file as it downloads. Multiple connections = faster download, less chance of your connection crapping out.

Okay SEB. I'm going to add DownThemAll on to my firefox and try it out. Faster downloads ? Well when you put it that way, I'm in !

Update on Gigabyte Upload on my end:
I had the same problems again (today )with their direct download link but was able to fully load in the Divx player and succeeded in the DL from there. File all there, intact and working.
SEB
Good stuff wingnut, just make sure you go into the settings of DownThemAll and change this setting to 10.

DownThemAll is approved ! It does give me faster MU downloads-looks like definately over 100 KB/s faster. Close to 150 KB/s faster. emoticon-0148-yes.gif
