Friday night,
we headed out to the tx ren fest! we got in at like 1am and finished setting up at like 3am... it was FREEZING, we were smart enough to bring a propain heater, we were not smart enough to bring two! lillybug got the heater and we had to zip up in a sleeping bag (that was not made for two ppl). we woke up next morning (after little actual sleep) and went to the festival


FUN, EAT, FUN FUN, BUY STUFF, FUN FUN

Saturday night,
well first let me say this, on friday we chose not to sleep in the quiet family area cause we wanted to be around ppl...
ok so after we walked around the fest and ate yummy food all day we drove back to our camp site and got set for bed. Our neighbors to the right were listening to very nice Indian music (u know the flutes and stuff) we were allmmoost asleep and then.. our neighbors to left decided to blare some ghetto music, and the ppl behind us decide to blare i dont even know what kind of music..in the disntance u could hear the drum circles all around the camp area. it was like 100 parties goin at one time. not much sleep that night. next morning more ren fest


FUN FUN FUN, EAT, FUN FUN EAT, ETC

Sunday night,
its much quieter, most of the campers are gone due to work and school in the morning. the air is perfect no to hot not to cool no need for heater but able to cover up. one of us leaves to get something out of the car and the zipper catches.... i get up and try to uncatch it and it decides to come off of one side, we spent about 45 min trying to get it fixed. we almost decide to go home but i get the bright idea to take the rain cover and turn it sideways to cover the door so the skeetos dont get in and eat us up. we do it and lay down, its perfect we can see the stars and we fall asleep and are so comfy... 5am rolls around and caleb (my hubby) wakes up to thunder. he wakes me up and i feel sprinkles, we jump up caleb puts lilly in the car and it starts POURING i take EVERYTHING and put it in the middle of the sleeping bag and pulled the corners together, stuffed it in the car. we leave the tent. i have to pee sooooooo bad. so we stop at the first gas station, out of order, second gas station outside, third gas station out of order, fourth place had a working potty haha! about 3 hrs later we got home and went back to sleep.

We used to do T In The Park every year here in Scotland, I don't go often now so maybe im turning into an auld fart but thats what it's all about. A whole weekend spent celebrating some of your favourite music, getting muddy, getting wasted and tired but overall having an experience

A weekend to forget about stress, ignore mud n broken nails and have a good time.

Looks like so much fun, everyone looked great. They stopped doing ren fest here about 7 years ago. real bummer. Thanks for sharing

very nice. looks like you had fun. is good to get away for a couple of days.

we really did have a blast, this was the first year we had complete costumes, i made my loincloth this year and caleb got his boots and pants..

HAHAHAHAHA texas has the BIGGEST ren fes in the US its still going on it goes every weekend and the last weekend is nov. 29th u should go...
