cant open the readme or infact any of the files in the iso

have you extracted them using winrar or a similar program first?
have you tried mounting the iso with daemon tools or alcohol?

what exactly is it telling you when you try to open it and what are you opening it with?

EDIT:
ok, so after i extracted everything and got the 7 001, 002, 003, exc files i tried to extract them like normal with winrar. winrar would extract the first archive fine but would stop and wouldnt get the rest so i kept ending up with a 900 mb folder with nothing but broken files in it. i couldnt figure out why it was doing it so i just used 7zip and tried it and it worked fine ...

so give that a go, it should fix your problem, idk why winrar wont work with those files ...

Ive mounted them with daemon tools, every .exe I click on tells me its not a valid windows application and every other file wont run because it claims the disk isn't in.

DUDE ITS IN FRIGGING RUSSIAN why upload a russian game .... going to test if the in game its russian but the installer is all russian n shit and its not good.

i had several russian games but if you look good there mabey will be an option to set it to english .i did not download this one or tested so cant help you with this .(normaly they set it to russian-english )and mabey it 's mulit5 also,if the setup is in russian, it does not mean it is only in russian language.

again, read my post above as i added some valuable info on getting this game to work. if you extract the files and only end up with a 1 gb folder and the .exe's keep telling you that its not a vlid app then winrar isnt extracting it properly. i had to download 7zip to get it to work. and if your talking about the razor proper release, its not russian ... i have it installed on my computer. so install the razor version as i can verify it.

Im a bellend lol. You know what I did, Id deleted the numbers at the end of the file names and mounted them with deamon tools.
They didnt show up as any file type so I thought nothing of it. 7zip works fine with them tongue.gif thanks man.


Spoke too soon, its telling me the files are broken.

broken? hmmm. thats strange. i know that copy i posted of the proper release works, im playing it right now, lol.
ummm. be sure the file types are .001, .002, .003, ect. as those are what they were in the beginning. maybe you didnt rename them right? idk.

not the file names, but the file type, lol. theres a big difference.
ok ... so open up my documents or some folder, then go to tools, then to folder options, then the view tab then uncheck the box that says "hide extensions for known file types". now you can edit the file type without any problems.
now go through and re-names all of the files borderlands.001, borderlands.001, and so on. then right click the first one and click extract with 7zip. that SHOULD fix all of your problems, lol.

and dont forget to re-check that box regarding file extensions after you done with all of this or you could accidentally change the file types of other files just by renaming them.

Maybe try the Proper from post #12, got that yesterday and it works just fine.

Edit:

Also, Dont know if its missing from the iso or was never included in it, but heres the Install Instructions from the read-me (had to grab it off bt)



Install Notes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Extract RARs
2. Mount or Burn image
3. Install the game
4. Important!! While installing replace the original exe with the
cracked Borderlands.exe from Razor1911\Install directoy after the DirectX
installation!!
5. Important! While installing copy the cracked exe from Razor1911\Crack directory
to the .\{$InstallDirectory}\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\ directory!
(Not the Binaries directory!)
6. Play the retail!

well, as i said earlier, i am playing the proper and its working finr for me. also, those "special" install notes only apply to vista from my understanding (as i didnt have to do all that). but if that copy just wont work for you, for whatever reason, then yea ... just download another copy. sry man.

lol. grats. they deff. do need support where they can get it. ands its a great little game! as long as you dont mind a bit of reputation and lack of story for a really fun "dungeon crawler" with great art ... its worth it, lol. playing online with friends is also really great! and all 4 classes are totally different ... hope ya like it.
