Okay. So I think I should explain why I am so appreciative of this thread:
I've been married for 2 1/2 years to my wonderful wife (who's name will not be mentioned for privacy reasons). Shortly after our one year anniversary, we decided to convert from a monogamous relationship to a polyamorous relationship. (Which is to say, that my wife and I are married and love each other, but we like being able to hold a relationship with more than one person. So we stay married, and allow each other to have boyfriends/girlfriends. And, No... It is not a swingers or polygamy thing.)
So we decided to give it a try. However, it seemed that no matter how hard I tried, I could not find a girl that was right for me. Finally, after a year and a half, I finally have. Though, today (my birthday of all days), my girlfriend starts distancing herself from me and completely neglects to say anything about my birthday.
On top of that, neither my mother nor my father called me. Or even, almost, any of my friends. Not to mention that I did not have the gas to get to a college football game, for which I already had tickets. So I missed the game. No party... No cake... No friends...
So after all that, I just wanna get online to see whats new in General Discussion and maybe watch a movie or two. And what do I find?
THIS AMAZING FREAKING POST! Where everyone is wishing me a happy birthday and congratulating me on another year! It truly lifted me, right out of the depressed state I was in. So, truly, from the bottom of my heart....
