now as i live not far from burnley or blackburn its very funny seeing all the bitching these 2 clubs are doing over the derby.
thing is burnleys loyal fanbase only appeared when they went to wembley last season, before that they had no support, about 12000 max from a town of 90000 plus the surrounding areas, over 200000 people live in burnley pendle and the villages around yet until recently many of them couldnt give a fuck about burnley.....but now, well there die hards haha. blackburn aint no better, similar amounts of people and half empty stadiums week in week out, even with cheapest tickets.
they claim burnley v blackburn is the biggest true derby in the country, some stats back them up and make this fact.....we all know what facts mean though dont we....anyways ewood park will be full, pubs will be chocker block around here and it will probably kick off, but next week it will be empty at ewood park even though theres a football match on, and turf moor will remain full, but when burnley go down, well it will sit empty again as is the fickleness of the fans of these clubs.
all that said though, i expect a burnley win.
