Full Version: Mrbrownee70 Megaupload Links Not Working
Quicksilverscreen Forum! > QSS > Help

Megaupload itself (i.e. www.megaupload.com) doesnt work for me. I go to the site and I get This service is temporarily not available from your service area.

But the mrbrownee70 megaupload links used to work for me but now they dont anymore. For example when I click a megaupload link I either get "This service is temporarily not available from your service area" (the captcha code doesnt even show) or I enter the captcha, wait 50 seconds then if I click the download button I dont get any pop up or if I click play I get "error 403 the server is denying access to the file".

It only started recently because before I left for holiday (just got back today) all links were working (i've checked links I downloaded from before and they dont work anymore).

I cant even do alternative method, because as I said, megaupload upload site doesnt work for me
__

For example:

This one http://www.mrbrownee70.com/?id=2934Q8J89 I get denying access
This one http://www.mrbrownee70.com/?id=5G3L4J931 I dont even get the captcha, just service not available

gabman

this is what i keep getting?? unsure.gif on FF 3

It seems this 403 error is coming up for others, too, but they have reported that the Alt. Method does work for them.

Just wondering if you have used the alt method before and made it work?

If so, have you tried the Alt. Method on both FF & IE?
gabman
I cant even try the alt method because megaupload doesnt work for me (denies me acess) So i woudn't be able to copy the link unless someone gave it to me really.
sweetjimmy
That's pretty weird...haven't ever had the MegaUpload site not work for me before, have you? emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

I guess any site can temporarily be unavailable.....I guess you have no choice but wait it out. emoticon-0121-angry.gif

Other hosts are still working for you, aren't they? emoticon-0144-nod.gif
gabman
It hasnt been working for a long time, but luckily, the mrbrownee links worked which was fine. Now it isnt sad.gif
markgg
what country are you in.
mrbrownee70
we are aware of the issue. but like Ive said before, its not the generator that gives you the errors, its mega doing it.

Megaupload recently has been banned in several countries.

That would explain it, I'm having similar issues. Having said that, these issues first cropped up with the introduction of VeeHD, and I can still download files straight from MU. I'm in the UK if that helps.

Completely unrelated. Just a coincidence.
DaveC
what jana says, the launch of VeeHD has nothing to do with megaupload =)

besides >.> VeeHD is way better than megaupload

Wtf is going on? I click on the link, the download starts then...I've to enter another capcha. And every link is stuck on buffering.

I just tried a link and did get the captcha again instead of the player. I refreshed the page and it worked fine that time.
If there is a problem with the script, MrBrownee will fix it, but most likely it's either an issue with megaupload or just a server glitch (random time-out or something).

If you can't get the normal method to work, please try the alternate method as it usually solves the problem.
Or if you're using FF, try IE to see if the issue is browser related.

Every user experiences these issues from time to time, but it's free smile.gif

Yeah, it's free so no complaining about that, however, I must admit it is frustrating when you've tried every option and the fucker gets stuck on buffering. lol I did the refresh method which seems to work best. Thanks for the info.

It has to be an issue that's only on occasion since I'm not having any problems with it now. I'd be worried if you removed it because it's the best working type available, at least for me and others.

Yeah Mr. B don't remove mega links! I've never had a 403 error it's probably because i'm in the US. Mega links are the ones I mainly choose since they stream the fastest. I mean. . we all have our problems with them but I guess it's just mainly people out of the US. Only other links that stream that quick for me are Heiji's gigabyteupload links and cinshare links pretty much. Stagevu never buffers, 2Shared buffers quick half the time, megashares has that gay ass passport shit, filebase streams fine but just good enough to watch without skipping forward any, and I never use storage or depositfiles because the alternate method type stuff doesn't work in google chrome. And I love chrome except for that. I'll cry if you stop posting mega links for the HD vids then i'd never get to stream them.

Edit: I removed my rant about noob complaints.

I'll add lots of cream to that as well, I luv the Mega-script smile.gif

People only complain when something don't work for them, but for every 1 person who complains, u've probably got 100's who are happy with it.

@ Uncle B

In that case, add me to the bitter-sweet list.

Mega has been giving me a few issues over the past month, but when it does work, it's extremely rewarding AND its probably the only thing that works for me at all.

- Consider that the equivalent of me putting a cherry on top.

Reason for edit: screw-up with the quote box.

Brownee, people will bitch and complain about pretty much anything, hell if it works 100% of the time perfectly they'll probably bitch then too.

I love the MU Divx links man, they buffer within a half a second for me and usually fully load within 3-5 min. IMO its got the best working DIVX links for me, and im sure others.

Keep up the good work man, its not your fault that people dont know wtf theyre doing.
mrbrownee70
i have no intentions on removing it. i'm just staying away from it because i have exhausted myself with it. smile.gif

Yeah, it's working just fine. It'll tweak from time to time but that's to be expected. And to SpiderCarnage, it's not that people don't know what they're doing because for a lot of us, it's simply an issue of the links tweaking for a time. Megaupload so far is the best option of them all for reasons others have already stated.

Yeah man, MU is da shizzit...I get 400-650kb/s on it on a 7/1 line.

15-17min for a movie is avg. They have better peering than most any host I know.

If not, well, then you are in the wrong country or locale and just should use other hosts.

Perhaps I don't worry because I DOWNLOAD, then watch in a real media player like you should rather than stream thought the shitty DivX web player. It can't adjust anything.

Yes, I let d/l get to about 10% before firing up KMplayer to watch it as it downloads...but it's beauty. Then, I usually delete the file..same as streaming.

FWIW..streaming is a joke IMO...it IS downloaded to your HDD either way, even Flash is.

MU is a file host, it's never been meant for streaming at all. That we can is because MrB chooses to run a script on his server that lets us.
