I wanted to hold my tongue, but I can't help myself....Long ago when I was in High-school(early 90's) a girl accused a teacher(my favorite teacher, and a genuinely great guy) of doing awful things to her. Automatically this teacher was suspended pending investigation, and trial(close to 2 years). We all knew he didn't do anything, but when a student accuses a teacher of rape, the board of education has no choice but to act accordingly, and suspend said teacher!
In the court case, the lawyers broke the girl down, and she admitted trying to black-mail the teacher for passing grades, and when he refused to go along, she went ahead with her plan to literally screw him, and his career!
He was acquitted of all charges, but unfortunately regardless of the outcome of the trial, he lost his job, due to the fact that the high-school did not want a negative stigma attached to it.
The Teacher was probably the most loved teacher at my old high-school, which consisted of more then 2500 students. When news of his dismissal broke, the students went into a uproar... The girl(fearful of the chaos she created) immediately transferred to a different school, and I never heard anything about her again.
I think it a travesty, that such a great teacher, with so much to offer young minds, was forced into early retirement....He had no choice in the matter, wherever he went that garbage followed him...AND HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!! except to not give-in to a black-mailing, witch, c#$% of a student.
I knew of this girl before this whole rape accusation thing started... years earlier she dated a friend of mines' older brother. Even back then she had a reputation of being a very promiscuous person. A couple years after that(still before the rape accusation) I heard her parents were fed-up with her, and threw her out, and that she had become a weekend prostitute, to pay for an apartment.
I know she had some tough breaks, everyone has, maybe some more then others, but that still doesn't give her(or anyone) the right to ruin another human being.
It's really a shame because she was such a beautiful/gorgeous girl, she could have easily been a model, or at least done something else to get by.
