so based off the information you provided, yes Dr Divx will convert mp4 to divx.
There was nothing in your 1st post about quicktime files, so I don't know about that
Your right I was very very vague in my original post. I apologize I should of added that. Me and viper where talking about this in chat a few nights ago and even he thought it was strange that the files where in a quick-time wrapper and wouldn't actually play in quick-time. Seems a bunch of custom filters or something was used. I figured I'd post one to see if any of the videophiles could figure out the proper method to get it done.
