They actually had the stupidity to say that "satan" was responsible for the death of jeebus on the cross. That screams of blasphemy! Being raised a baptist, I was taught that jeebus died on the cross out of love for the world. That, iza, is a contradiction of the "infallible word of god"...or at least what they are saying...

It's all for naught anyway though...I mean, these are the same people who believe in an Earth that is only about 6,000 years old. (even though the human species has been around for at least ten times that long).

All i can say is, "jesus christ...its another exercise in stupidity."

Good points, the central belief of Chriistianity is that God (who was also the son) died on the cross for the sins of mankind. I'd like to add that by introducing Satan into their beliefs in order to explain suffering etc... they have also devalued the meaning of the God they supposedly believe in. An all powerful being (omnipotence) doesn't have a school yard fight with a lesser individual, they destroy them because they are allpowerful. Why relegate Satan to the other side of the playing field so he can still get other kids to back him in the next tussle. Or is it because god is not god and is not omnipotent at all? Unless he is unwillling though and that makes God a fuckin ass, in his omniscience he has chosen to let Satan play havoc with us and does nothing about it. How are we meant to distinguish between Satan and God if they have the same power? That would make them both gods and Christianity another polytheism.

Hehe, humans were learning how to brew beer for the first time 6000 years ago.... and Christians think that dinosaurs were walking around then?! WOW. That's ignorant.

Christianity would be way better off if it just admitted it was a polytheism. Simultaneously, I would be more likely to buy into a monotheistic version of the Judeo-Christian God, if Christians depicted him as a creator AND destroyer god all in one. This whole "all-loving" thing is completely at odds with what the bible's god says and does.

If one did HAVE to believe that god was all-loving and simultaneously have to inhabit this planet which is clear evidence of the contrary... then that would create a fantastically strong web of cognitive dissonance.... which is the cornerstone of religious delusion. So... in that case.... it is a good thing that God is not as advertised, or else Christians would have no fuel for their denial machines.
