I get "This video is not available in your country. Log in or register to bypass." Is this normal/necessary and why is this site so special? DW helper does see the files but can't download them in full. (download is interrupted and dropped). Anyone else having this problem?

And yess that countryblock is normal, streaming videos of high quality costs money, but adwise some countries dont bring up as much money, so to keep those things balanced, you can only bypass the countryblock by signing up

It is awesome!! A big Thanks to those who made it !!! emoticon-0152-heart.gif

Very awesome site.
How do i download from there?
RobinBanks
Anything streamed through the divx player is downloaded to your HD. Right click on the divx player in pause mode - select preferences. In general preferences you will see "save files in". I recommend you create a folder and select that folder. Every time you watch something on the divx player it will be saved in that folder. Once whatever you are watching has finished buffering (the blue progress bar is all the way across from left to right) close the player window and rename the file removing the .part extension and/or adding .avi or .divx if it's not there already. BOOM! You have downloaded the file and can now do whatever you want with it! yeah.gif Please note that the above does not hold true if you are watching a flash based video as they will not be streamed through the divx player.

I'm glad this site was put together. It seems pretty sweet. smile.gif

Does one have to register to use the site?

When I click on any video, a message says "Video time hash expired. Reload the page to fix this problem."
Unless time is being measured in nano-seconds, I don't think its possible for the time to have expired.

When I reload the page, I get the same message, with "hash expired." emoticon-0136-giggle.gif
Someone might want to check the spelling, unless it was intentional.

viewing from here is fine. went to the site directly, and if i click on a vid it says i have to install a toolbar to continue. so maybe you do hafta register to watch them there.

edit: now that its overrun by qss uploads, works just fine. i went before the frenzy.
sm0key
i'ma get vhd knocked up so we'll be together forever!

VeeHD plays videos in my IE8, but not FF 3.5.3 - strange but true. This is without registering for VeeHD.
I tried turning off NoScript, AdBlockPlus, and FlashBlocker in FF, but that didn't make any difference.
Kabaal
I only ever use Firefox but i tried viewing both flash and DIVX clips in IE, both play fine in Firefox and only Flash plays in ie. I get a message saying only Firefox is supported when trying DIVX.

People still use IE? laugh.gif

Yeah. Comes in handy when things don't work in FF. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif
sm0key
thats odd, i'm using 3.5.3 and it works ok.
with adblock plus running. hmm, is it all videos or just divx?
have you attempted to play a flv?

I found the problem. I had blocked cookies for the site.
To fix it, I deleted the cookie, then closed FF.
When I opened FF, I went to VeeHD and "allowed" cookies. Allowing cookies "always" or for the "session" both worked.
Sometimes the smallest things can trip you up. emoticon-0111-blush.gif
So, all is good now in FF. emoticon-0142-happy.gif
Thanks
DaveC
If you detect ANY bugs report them in the bug section please =3 remember that this site is still in beta wink.gif

@Stonez0r what did you report?

@redeye, could've been that some maintenance was performed and that that caused the quick expiry, remember, veehd is still a work in progress =)

... why is this site so special?

Very generous current 1.9gb upload limit (with plans for 4gb or 8gb in the future).

All mp4/flv/avi (DivX) uploads don't require conversion.

Even though mp4 plays in their Flash player, it's extremely high quality. And it downloads as mp4 (not flv) format (thanks to no conversion).

Peacefully coexists with adblocking software.

Works reliably (for me, anyway) with DownloadHelper.

Decent upload speeds (I'm seeing about 100kbps).

Dependable, non-interrupted uploads (from what I've seen so far).

Thanks to SEB for the heads-up on this (I wasn't aware of this thread).

It's a beautiful site.
DaveC
its very special jayelcee =) very special indeed

this site might just be the gem that fills up the whole that stage6 left =D
