i have a toshiba laptop with 2gb of ram, before i would use a 2gb sd card and use ready boost to utilize the sd card as ram. i had a 4gb usb memory stick i am using now, i don't notice a difference.

what is your finding with using ready boost, does it improve your performance?

It doesn't use it as RAM. It's essentially a gimmick.

Readyboost is a supplement to normal caching operations of the file-system. Prefetch, etc in most cases your not going to notice any difference.

when i was optimizing computers- we turned ready boost off (disabled the service) on most machines.

Just not useful and can cause problems.
