somethin in my pants was tingling until he spoke.
Not yet sure how i feel about new Freddys voice
morpheusprime
wow. Freddie? he looks like a dirty guy with a skin rash. and he talks like Karl Childers in slingblade. mm-hmm. i shall reserve judgment on this one.
Trebek
Well...the trailer was alright, but I am going to reserve judgment until I actually see the film.

Freddy really does sound kind of like Karl from slingblade though.

I still prefer the original ANOES though, as far as I can tell...

I like it. The little glimpse of him showed him to be a lot scarier looking than Englund. The voice has to do with his face being burnt, I think.

Indeed. His burn scars look more realistic this time around, as far as I can tell. I can dig that, and his voice. I'll have to wait to see the rest though.

The first Transformers was OK at best. The second one was garbage. I could barely sit through it.

He is only producing this film though...so hopefully his hands won't be in it TOO much.

Nope. That's just someone's concept of what a new NOES could be like. It's been floating around the net for a while now.

A first look at A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 including some behind-the-scenes peeks at Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger.

thanks for the link. I still say that I'm not going to like this movie. To me and the rest of Freddy fans, we all say that England is the real Freddy and no one else. But I will still give it a try. After all, I remember I thought that Halloween and Batman Begins were going to be shitty ass movies, but I was wrong. I hope I am wrong about this...but to see another man playing Freddy, that is the only thing that throws me off. If they had England doing the part again, then I would be more excited.

Meh...

I REALLY wish Michael Bay had nothing to do with this remake. I don't like his style (or lack of?).

Plus the soundtrack seems pretty lame, and uninspired. The soundtrack in the original, by Charles Bernstein, is awesome, and is one of my favourite horror soundtracks ever. But I guess that's just a matter of opinion.

Well Bay is just producing it, so hopefully hes not really touching the shit but just handing over money to get it to be made. I saw the new trailer just now and it looked...ok...better than the teaser trailer. But in the end I have to say that this is not our Freddy...this is a wannabe...if Robert England was Freddy again in this movie, then I would be totally excited. I'll still go see the movie though at the theaters in support of it. After all, its a slasher flick wink.gif

I can tell Bay has had his hands in it...It looks and feels like a Michael Bay film. But like you, I will watch it anyway, just out of curiosity mainly. Plus I can't shoot something down before actually watching it.

I think Jackie Earle Haley could play a good Freddy, but unfortunately he is stuck with Michael Bay, and Platinum Dunes (Platinum Douche?) behind the film, which will certainly hold the film, and his performance back from being all it could be.
