Excellent 1st episode! Very ambitious concept. I like it. Watch Flash Forward

I really hope its gonna have some nice twists to the plot as to why everyone blacked out and such.

It comes from a slightly different perspective than the book but, despite having read the paperback and listened to the audiobook, it's got me hooked (mostly for the differences in the translation to screen). Definitely very promising indeed.

Anyone have any idea how many episodes/seasons are planned?

BTW, in case anyone wants it, the audiobook (by Robert J. Sawyer) is posted over in the Internet Cafe: http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php...st&p=817333

Cool premise, horrible acting by the lead. I'll continue to watch and hope it gets better.

Oceanic Airlines references have been around for quite a while. Everyone remembers it from Lost because the airline name was pretty integral to the plot, but the fictional company's been in many more shows and movies, albeit in smaller doses: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceanic_Airlines

It's kinda a "callback" to fans of the t.v. shows and movies, much like the "Finder-Spyder" internet search engine (used in Dexter, Weeds, Heroes, and a few others) and "Morley" cigarettes (from The X-Files, Buffy, Platoon, etc.).

Gotta love watching two (or more!) shows/movies that have absolutely nothing in common, not even the production company, and seeing the same brands used - seems to give the shows a higher level of believability. smile.gif

really getting into this now a few explosions and a bit of girl on girl action works wonders! I think the blackouts are caused or linked to mobiles/cell phones and/or there masts and the flashforward is just a side effect they already trying to put the Chinese in the frame so its def not them I'm thinking subversive elements in the US government but hey I love a conspiracy!
Many thanks to DDragon for getting the post up and running and all the other posters for their links

Cheers for that fella, i'm not really into audiobooks but now i know it's there i'm gonna have to have a root around the section for an ebook later.

I'm enjoying the show so far and my curiosity is up for where it's going to go, especially now that we know the blackout source was earth based and in an area that makes it hidden from the rest of the world. All sorts of conspiracy theories good n bad have passed through my mind for it.
