They can ban him for as long as they wish mate it all depends what view they take but it is obvious to everyone bar City fans that he did it with malice,i have no faith in the FA though and to be honst i am hoping he gets away with it only because without him City have no chance against Scum.

I don't often get pissed watching sports but Adebayor really pissed me off. Firstly let me say, I'm an Arsenal fan and I disagree totally with boo'ing any player on your own team for whatever reason. I hate when Arsenal fans do it and I really don't think it helps the time in any way. Saying that, Adebayor said he wanted to leave Arsenal for a bigger club, you can't be surprised if fans turn on you. The rake on van persie was really nasty and dangerous. I think a 4-5 match ban would be fitting. If he only did the rake on van persie he could be looking at a 3 match ban anyways, it was really dangerous as it was around his head. Running to the fans wasn't as bad but it's still really stupid.

I hope they have a full strength side against us.......like the Gooners did.

Adebayor hit with two FA charges

Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor has been hit with two charges by the Football Association after his side's 4-2 win over former club Arsenal.

The 25-year-old striker is charged with violent conduct relating to his alleged stamp on Robin van Persie and has until 1800 BST on Wednesday to respond.

He also faces a charge of improper conduct for his goal celebration in front of the Arsenal supporters.

A separate date will be arranged for a commission to consider the latter.

The Football Association has also asked Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and the two clubs to identify supporters involved in any violent and aggravating behaviour.

English football's governing body said in a statement that it "would like to see anyone found guilty of such behaviour face action through the legal system and banning orders from football."

If Adebayor is found guilty for his challenge on Van Persie, under the FA's new fast-track disciplinary system he would be handed a three-match ban which would result in him missing Sunday's derby against Manchester United.

the fa should have made an example of him and hit him with a much longer ban. the stamp was out of order and he could have blinded van persie if his studs hit him a few inches higher. he's a dirt bag mercenary c*nt
