Hi... I'm Xanna. I'm not sure how often I'll have something to contribute but I've been lurking around QSS for a little while and thought I'd at least give the forums a shot. I'm not the most suave when it comes to technology but I do really appreciate what everyone is doing here. I'll contribute whenever I have something valid to give but I generally operate under the belief that if you don't have something worthwhile to say, keep your mouth shut.

I found this place when looking for a way to watch movies online since I can't afford 8-10 bucks to sit in a theater. I'm a poor, broke college kid who survives almost exclusively off of Ramen and box wine. I'm a music major so in between work, classes, and about a million hours of practice every night, I don't generally have time to watch TV so even if I could afford it, cable would be a waste. It's nice to be able to come on here, take a quick look through a movie list, and spend an hour or two relaxing when I have the time without having to pay $100+ a month for 500 channels I don't need.

I'm going to hop up on my soap box for a moment. Don't throw rotten fruit at me. I just want to say that, as a musician myself, I fully support downloading pirated music. Artists only get about 7 CENTS per CD they sell anyway. If the big record companies fail, it's because they haven't evolved. Find other ways to support your favorite artists without padding the pockets of the executive monkeys.

And iTunes is the devil.
