Most of us inhabit at least two worlds: The real world where we're at the mercy of circumstance and the world within, the unconscious, a safe place where we can escape.

The Maxx shifts between these worlds against his will. Here, homeless, he lives in a box in an alley. The only one who really cares for him is Julie Winters, a freelance social worker. But in Pangea, the other world, he rules the outback and is the protector of Julie, his jungle queen. There he cares for her. But he always ends up back in the real world.

And me? Old Mr. Gone. Only I can see that the secret which unites them could destroy them. I could be helpful...

Bah, screw it. I think I'll have some fun with them first.

I noticed The Head posted up (currently finding a few alternate links for it as I type this up) and also thought about another gem from MTV's Oddities, The Maxx. Looking through the index here leads to an archived thread with a few broken links. I was about to post a few YouTube or Dailymotion links that I found, but another search results in...wow, MTV is hosting the episodes on their site, so watch them while they are up. The first episode also includes the amazing intro for Oddities as well, bonus!

Goodshit. Nice find. I have this on VHS somewhere as well as the Comic trades from which it was based. To bad MTV didn't really finish the story. If you guys haven't check your local comic shops for the trades it's a really good series.

I know it says 'Not in the USA? Download Graboid to Stream TV & Movies.' but I'm in Europe and they stream fine without proxy or Graboid. Lots of advertisement though.

I was a fan of the Maxx from the beginning. I loathed MTV but I made a point to watch the Maxx and taped it as well. I watched it with dread until I saw how well they relayed Kieth's wonderful art and used dialogue straight from the comics. Then I was pleased.....great voice work too.
