...to me it seems that United got the hardest draw out of the english sides...

...what are your thoughts?...

just from what i can see i think chelsea has the harder route... but its only a guess cus of porto and madrid...

Schizo
Its gotta be between United and Liverpool who got the hardest draw..

Fiorentina have been consistent the last two years, moving up in the table all the time.
I can see them getting even better this year

Lyon. Well.. They speak for themselves right?

CSKA Moscow.. I think people see them as a threat but definitely nothing major.

Besiktas. Yeah they did nearly knock out Liverpool in the group stage (2 years ago was it?..) but I honestly can't see them more of a threat that Moscow.

And Wolfsburg.. Shite. Thats all I'll say to that.

All in all, two fairly balanced groups..

Although, I feel kinda sorry for Zurich and Haifa biggrin.gif

Arsenal got an easy group. I would be laughing my ass off and then a little disappointed if they didn't go through to the last 16 out of that group..

Rangers' group. Very interesting. I'd personally love to see them go through to the last 16 but I feel Stuttgart might top them..

2 matches I am so looking forward to, as is everyone else more than likely, are Inter vs Barca and AC vs Real.
Should be stormers

Arsenal are laughing

I'm happy with Rangers' draw

I think you're having a laugh you'll win the group with your home games, unless you're speaking from a travelling perspective, that said Istanbull is always a great place to visit (unless you're a United fan wink.gif pack your stab vest ) and the BJK is a great ground.

Wolfsburg are your toughest game
Amar
pretty happy with our group, i watched the first set of italian games and fio didnt look too good but we know from last season they are a pretty consistant team, still i believe we should be able to get a positive result at their ground.

lyon is a team who well i just feel sorry for, they have been the 2nd highest spenders of the transfer market but i think they have really bought badly. they have over spent on quite a few players but still are a good team. i think we should be able to get 2nd as a minimum

providing our cm creativity doesnt consist of lucas and mascherano. if it does then we are pretty much screwed

moscow are average at best, besiktas are only a slight threat at there place, and wolfsburg have lost felix magath who did both management jobs at the club and basically created the team. I see no threat for man utd in that group, piece of piss if you ask me.

for chelsea its also pretty easy, atletico are a tidy side but struggle against the better teams due to a very average defence, soft centre in the midfield and a very attacking mindset. Porto are not the side they were a few seasons ago and have now lost lucho to marseille, nicosia should be no trouble either.

Liverpool have some big name teams in there but lyon were awfull last year (the 3rd best team in france) and have replaced benzema with lisandro lopez and gomis, both very average players also they have lost the set pieces of juninho. Fiorentina could pose a threat but will miss melo who made them a much more solid team last year. Debreceni are hardly worth a mention.

Arsenal have a very easy group AZ might be dutch champions but have lost some key players. Olympiacos and Liege shouldn't worry them either.

All in all it was a very good draw for all 4 of the english teams. Rangers have a fair chance of getting out of their group too, Sevilla and Stuttgart are both beatable.
Amar

...you hit the nail on the head there Amar, its the distances involved that make our group draw tougher not the teams...

You're going to see alot more of that as the season goes on.

four wins for the english teams but not with the ease that you mite have thought. still cant see past them winning their groups with a few games to spare. and rangers got a respectable point away in germany smile.gif
