Note - yhwh is not the real name of "GOD" , also "GOD" gave his name to moses btw

also note "Christ" Does translate as the word "Savior" from hebrew to greek or latin, one of the two, but not from the ARAMAIC as i understand it.

1.) On one hand there is no "real name" of God, as the biblical God is the amalgamation of several deities (El, Adonai, Yahweh, Jahve, etc..)

2.) The notion of a hidden secret name of God actually stems from Egypt, where the true name of the God was kept hidden from the common people, with only the high priests or sometimes kings/leaders, knowing the secret cult name of the God. Such secret names have also been found with Greek deitiies as well. The whole point of keeping a secret name comes down to power. At that time it was believed that to know the name of a person, objec, whatever, was to have power over that thing, hence only the High priests/leaders were allowed to possess such knowledge. Also, to know the true name of a person can allow one to put a curse on someone or in the case of the gods, to speak the true secret name is in fact a form of invocation o the god.

3.) "Christ" comes from the Greek "Christos/Kristos" which means "annointed with oil". Moshiach is the Jewish word from which we get the word "Messiah". The term Moshiach also means "annointed".

15 videos... that are on average 10 minutes long each. That is an hour and a half of poorly recorded hissing sound, a truckload of ummm, uhs, and pauses... and VERY drawn out dialogue. People who give lectures typically strive to entertain as well as educate. These things go hand in hand, since you have to keep your listeners awake while educating them. These two guys will put you to sleep in the first five minutes.

What they are talking about might be interesting, but who is actually going to spend and hour and a half watching it when you can simply consult a different and more efficient source? star above notes several interesting points that I can see lectures on... and guaranteed those lectures will be more informative.

Also Youtubers, we need you to light your set. I realize in this day and age of do-it-yourself videos that a lot of simple common sense stuff get forgotten... but dude.... we cant see your face.

You are probably thinking that I am wrong in judging the quality of the sound, light, and entertainment value associated with these vids, since none of these things have anything to do with the points they are making. Well, the simple truth is, if there is no one to talk to then nothing is said.

I am glad that star contributed, and I think the majority of information on this topic will be posted in this thread as opposed to viewed in these vids, in this case. Perhaps nomed44 you could paraphrase the contents of these vids to enlighten us on the views, in case anyone does not have an hour and a half to kill?

i gotta agree ultraforge. (although it is two and a half hours) needs to be livened up a little. and if i cant properly see who is talking, i wont watch it. (makes me believe they don't believe it.) very boring. and why when the one guy is talking, the other one keeps staring at me. not in a good way. creepy.

So are those dudes Muslim? The reason why I ask is because there are a lot of Muslim videos on YouTube which try to disprove Judaism and Christianity in favor of their own made-up religion.

Okay, hang on....
150 minutes dived by 60 minutes (an hour) is 2.5
Ugh. Okay so I was off by AN HOUR! Hehe, epic math fail. I'm embarrassed now. Wasn't thinking. Moving on...

This is a good point. Any argument that can be used to refute one God is applicable across the board. If this is the battle of imaginary creatures then one has to lay out, in simple terms, the reasons why one imaginary creature is more real than the next.

To add to this, the "big three" religions keep forgetting about the flying spaghetti monster and the great teapot in the sky. They still have provide reasons why their imaginary creature is more valid than these.

Religious people keep replacing quality with quantity, and it gets more and more boring. Truth is usually simple, and is given two possibilities, the simpler and more more likely explanation is usually the correct one (thanks Occum).

Seriously theists... learn to paraphrase. You will only be doing yourself the favor.
