Evolutionists is a meaningless term, anyone who excepts other equally valid scientific theories is simply scientific there is no special box for evolution otherwise it would not be science. This warping of the English language by fanatics continues, lucky for all of us science has wiped out many of the diseases that god obviously created to kill children, funny god to worship one who wants you dead.

When Christians use the term "Evolutionists" it's becuase they want to make it seem as if Evolution is controversial or hasn't been proved. There is no controversy. The case was settled a long, long time ago.

But yeah, I know what you are talkiing about. Notice nobody goes around calling people, "Gravitists".

Wow, Nephlimfree? That guy is a total douchebag. I have debated him before. When I would get to some points where his argument would fail, he would just start to quote scripture as if it were the answer. On top of that, he actually believes that the universe revolves around the earth! He is a geocentric earth believer as well as a creationist! He has a youtube channel guys, check out the inane stupidity of this guy fellas, it will astound you. He is famous for censoring anybody that tries to comment on his videos. If you check his videos out, you will see that the comments are all in favour of the tripe that he's saying, not one in defiance of it.

NephilimFree is a chump that doesn't know how to argue. If you prove him wrong, or if he doesn't like what you are saying, he will censor you, block you.

No, Iza, he is a total douchbag. I have on a couple of occasions debated with him, in a calm and reasonable manner. When he couldn't answer my questions he would start with the insults, calling me a heathen etc etc etc. So I call 'em as I see 'em, he is a total douche. I would call in but I have a toll bar on my phone, so I can't make toll calls.

When I say that he uses scripture to try to validate his answers, it really doesn't answer anything. You of all people Iza; must realise that when a theist is debating with an atheist, that scripture doesn't cut it when it comes to undeniable evidence of gods existence, because scripture is simply words written on a page. When an atheist asks for physical evidence of what a theist is arguing about, written words from the bible simply don't cut it.

So I have asked this guy on a couple of occasions to provide hard physical proof. What does he do? He answers by reciting scripture. That is just whacko. It doesn't answer my question. Plus the fact that he is a geocentric Earth believer. Granted, people are completely entitled to believe what ever they want, because science isn't always right. But I do think that it's been proven without reasonable doubt that the universe doesn't revolve around the earth. Now, for anybody to actually believe otherwise really calls into question their intelligence and the level of education that they have.

As for the common theist idea of an "evolutionist", there's no such thing Iza. There are astronomers, biologists, chemists, geologists but no evolutionists. When theist's argue regarding the universe etc, they always seem to think that evolution has something to do with it, they dump all atheists and scientists into one group and call us evolutionists. Again, for clarification. There is no such thing as an evolutionist.

Actually IZA, Atheism is simply the lack of belief in God(s). One can be an Atheist and have no inclination toward the Scientific Method or Science in general.

Also, the debate ended a long time ago with regard to Evolution. It's over. The only people who refuse to accept defeat are Theists who willingly coose to be ignorant. Even other Theists have accepted the reality of Evolution.

Also, there are no "missing links".

You are correct there Iza, there are some very intellegent christians that do "believe" in evolution (although evolution really is not a matter or belief any more as it is now established fact). There is one very prominent man on Youtube by the name of djarm67. He is a christian but also happens to be a scientist and knows a great deal about science and evolution. Hes a great guy and can teach creationists a lot about how science works as well as how to reconcile religion and science. He keeps his faith and his work in the scientific realm completely separate.

Just because there are things all around me is not proof of god at all Iza, it is proof that things exist, but definitely not proof of any god. When I ask for proof, evidence of gods existence, I am asking for HARD evidence. A fingernail that can be tested or even the man himself coming down to show us that he does exist so that can be tested as well. So far, absolutely no evidence has been forthcoming what-so ever.

Again, just because we can see everything around us, the trees, the sea, the clouds is NOT indicative of gods existence AT ALL.

I have meet my fair share of the djarm67's and have talked to a few and I have found the most of these guys throw half the bible out the window..they want to believe in God and at the same time wants to except mans theories . When you really look at these types they are more agnostic then Christians. Bible prophecy says this will happen and sure enough it is.

Possibily. I am not going to try to defend his choice in his belief of a god. The thing is, he shows that it is possible to reconcile a belief in a higher power as well as having an adept understanding of the scientific method and how the natural world works. Thing is Iza, when you say that he is picking and choosing what he follows from the bible, you do the same as well. Do you stone adulterers when you find them?

He has a personal belief in a higher power, just because he doesn't follow the bible to the letter doesn't mean that he is a lesser christian than yourself. It's possible that his eyes are a tad more open than the average creationist and can see through all the bullshit that goes along with it.

If God did reveal himself to you one or the two things will happen...you would fall to your knees and ask for mercy or depending on how devoted you are to your athesim you would make a appointment to see a psychologist. All through the bible God revealed himself and there was still doubt by many. People are no more wiser today as they were 2000 years ago.

If god did show himself to me Iza, I wouldn't walk away and say, pfffft "what an imagination I have". I would sit down and have a chat with him and see what the deal is. I'd ask him for something of his, whether it be hair.. whatever, so that it can be tested. After he had gone, I would then go and get myself checked by a psychologist as I do have to cover all the bases. You never know, it could have been a delusion after all.

BTW, I'm not devoted to being an atheist. I just don't believe in a god. That really doesn't take much devotion when the evidence for gods existence is non-existent.

So god showed himself in the bible. This doesn't mean that it actually happened Iza, as the bible is just a story.

As a side note: In that old thread, a challenge was put forth to theists to defy or correct the information brought up in this lecture.
