wow... i know phil-east should be damn happy today...
just finished watching everton vs arsenal and arsenal really put the monkey to the blues...
arsenal looked very sharp...

fun match to watch smile.gif

watched the chelsea match and although i think drogba is a total fag he did a damn fine job bringing it home...

passed out for a bit during the villa vs wigan match but what i saw was good stuff... (happy for the wigan clean sheet)

i enjoyed the opening day.. hope tomorrow is just as fun... (even though my fantasy team is sucking sad.gif )

i'm delighted mate, although i'm very surprised at how fast everton rolled over. It's a great start and we definately needed it after all the negative press and the so called experts writing us off. I'm not getting carried away though it's a long season and there will be sterner tests to come. It's great for confidence though and we now have something to build on.

I had a great day football wise all round, I won £30, Arsenal were off to a flyer and my home town club even managed their first win of the season. Fantasy league went well too i got 49 points with gerrard yet to play. Be carefull not to make wholesale changes after 1 week mate, i did it last year and my original team were on fire soon after.

wow i was shocked at how easily arsenal destroyed everton, i really thought the gooners would struggle this year

i overreacted a few times last year and i regretted it.. so the only change i plan on making for tuesday is subbing out barry (since he doesnt play)
thats my free transfer for week 2

only picked up 24 today but still have rooney and gerrard (if he plays) to go tommorrow...

The Arse looked good. There was never any question fromme about how good they are, play great football all the time.
Later in the season is where Arsenal will find out if they have what it takes, when injuries and the squad depth come into play.

the big boys come to play today biggrin.gif

united took an expected victory over birmingham.I liked what i saw from valencia and think he got potential.Owen missed a chance of the ages so think he will be hitting himself.

yup arsenal played well and they will def be in the running for the. champienship.

...its turning out to be a great sunday, united won, liverpool lost, just brilliant...

i was happy with the results today... well.. for my fantasy team anyway since i have gerrard and rooney smile.gif
movieman
not the best start for us but the better team won

our bench looked weak aswell

Subs: Cavalieri, Voronin, Benayoun, Spearing, Kelly, Dossena, Ayala.

bar benayoun who should have been playing rather than babel, there isnt really anyone who is likely to be able to change a game
phil-east
i think rafa should have spent more on increasing his squad options rather than the better part of 40 mill on 2 players. You really need to keep torres and gerrard fit because voronin, ngog et al are not good enough.

just noticed there were no draws this weekend...

...on the back of our last two performances its obvious we are missing Ronaldo therefore its time for SAF to break open the kitty bank and sign Douglas Costa...

...nonetheless what a screamer of a goal...

i dont get why carrick took the free kick and not rooney...

...in traning Carrick showed himself to be the best penalty taker hence why he is the designated penalty kicker, although i somehow doubt that will be the case from now on,if it was me i'd let anderson or nani take the kicks...

fair play there isnt a keeper in the world who would have saved blakes goal
